Hello, Yes. If you have high level of chronic stress it can affect your neurons gradually, but permanently. If you talking just about memory issue, it can occur due to chronic stress without any affect on neurons. 1. Take therapy sessions with counselling psychologist so that you can talk it out. 2. Start practicing yogasana-pranayama-meditation by joining group classes which happen on everyday basis. 3. Nurons once damaged cannot be healed. Stress and other factors like raised cortisol, decrease melatonin effect the brain slowly first making the nurons lazy and stressed which can be reversed but after some years they get damaged causing irreversable changes. This regime can help you reduce stress and help in the calmness of mind. ??? Anulomvilom and Bhramari Pranayam will help. But you have to do it early in the morning only. ? Donot get yourself into any addictions. ? Donot drink tea or coffee or aerated drinks. ? Reduce screen time… No screen in darkness and 1 hour before you sleep. ?? 100 steps after both meals are must. ?? Eat only home cooked food… Avoid outside food, packed and processed food. ?? Yes ,it can cause permanent neuron damage in chronic period and in short run also interfere in neuron repair and cognitive function. In your case you’re only suffering from 1 year it doesn’t cause any permanent damage as you don’t have any cognitive dysfunction, but surely it will affect your ability to focus ,memory and can lead to many other problems like wight gain ,high blood pressure and sugar if don’t reduce your stress.
