कई बार मुझे मांसपेशियों में झटके महसूस होते हैं, जब मैं बिस्तर पर लेटा होता हूँ या आराम कर रहा होता हूँ, या ध्यान कर रहा होता हूँ। कभी मेरे पैर में, कभी हाथ में, या कभी सिर पर आदि।

Why it happens (most common causes) 1. Nervous system overactivity (most likely in your case) Happens when you finally relax → brain shifts from active → rest mode Hidden stress, anxiety, or mental load gets expressed physically Very common during meditation or before sleep 👉 This is called benign fasciculation syndrome 2. Electrolyte imbalance Low levels of: Magnesium Calcium Potassium ➡️ Leads to nerve irritability → twitching 3. Muscle fatigue / overuse Long standing, walking, or even gym Then twitching starts when you rest 4. Vitamin deficiency Especially Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D 5. Caffeine / tea / mobile overstimulation Tea/coffee excess Screen exposure before sleep ⚠️ When to worry (important) You should get checked if: Muscle weakness is present Muscle is shrinking (atrophy) Twitching is continuous in one area only Difficulty in movement 👉 If none of these → mostly harmless 🌿 Ayurvedic Understanding This condition is mainly: Vata aggravation (Vata prakopa) Especially Vyāna + Prāna Vata imbalance Triggers: Stress Irregular routine Dry/light food Excess thinking 🌿 Ayurvedic Treatment Plan 1. Internal Medicines (safe general suggestion) Ashwagandha churna / capsule – strengthens nerves Brahmi vati – calms mind Ksheerabala 101 capsule – best for nerve twitching Maha Yograj Guggulu (if stiffness present) 👉 Dose depends on patient → better to individualize (I can help if you want) 2. External therapy Abhyanga (oil massage) daily Use: Mahanarayan oil or Ksheerabala taila Padabhyanga (foot massage at night) → very effective 3. Diet correction Add: Milk with 1 pinch nutmeg + 1 tsp ghee at night Bananas, coconut water Soaked almonds Avoid: Dry food, fasting Excess tea/coffee Late night sleeping 4. Lifestyle Sleep before 11 pm Reduce screen time before bed Do slow breathing (Anulom Vilom) instead of intense meditation initially 🧘 Important Insight (based on your case) Since twitching happens: During relaxation During meditation 👉 This strongly suggests stored nervous tension releasing, not disease. 🩺 Basic tests (just to be safe) Vitamin B12 Vitamin D Serum Calcium Magnesium
