Hello I can understand its difficult to handle 2 kids, works stress and high blood pressure after pregnancy You are already managing it so well So dont worry we are here to help you out 😊 ▪️For your Understanding You case we can relate to recurring postpartum hypertension Your systolic remains normal but diastolic remains elevated According to ayurveda we can consider this as Vata and pitta imbalance Vata causes vascular changes like tightness Pitta causes elevated Pressure ▪️I will clear why your only lower blood pressure is elevated? Diastolic pressure indicates resistance in blood vessels It increases by -Work stress -Hormonal imbalance after Pregnancy Good thing in your BP readings is your Upper Bp is very well in control ▪️Treatment plan ➖Continue Amlodepine 7.5 mg Do not stop it suddenly ▪️Ayurvedic Internal medication ➖Arjunaristha 20 ml twice daily after food ➖Normact 1 tablet twice daily after food ➖Brahmi pearls 1 capsule twice daily after food ▪️About medha vati Yes,You can take it 1 tablet once at bed time Helps in reducing stress ▪️External therapies ➖Gentle head massage -apply lukewarm Ksheerbala taila on head at bed time and do gentle massage at bed time ➖Foot massage -Apply the same oil on both soles at bed time ▪️Important Check your BP once a day daily Keep monitoring your BP ▪️Diet plan Avoid -too much salt intake -coffee -Processed food -packaged food -Reheated food -curd ➖Include -warm and freshly prepared food -1 tsp of ghee daily -have seasonal fruits -garlic ▪️Lifestyle most important You are already doing yoga - good continue Also add -15 min of anulom vilom -30 min of walking Try to manage stress So your condition is manageble but needs consistent treatment Gradually once your BP becomes stable and normal we can taper your amlodepine but under supervision and continue monitoring Wishing you a good health😊 Warm Regards Dr Snehal Vidhate

your readings are actually showing that the upper number is well under control and only the lower number is staying slightly high which usually happens when there is ongoing stress mental load and some internal tension in the body after pregnancy and responsibilities it is more of a nervous system and circulation tightness rather than a serious disease stage so it can be corrected gradually continue your current medicine and along with that you can take normact tablet daily to support gut balance and brahmi gritham half teaspoon in the morning with warm milk or water this will help calm the mind and support blood pressure naturally keep your food warm simple and home cooked reduce salt caffeine and packaged food include a little ghee daily and make sure bowels are clear regular oil application with mahanarayana taila or even simple sesame oil before bath will relax the body and improve circulation slowly the lower reading will come down and your blood pressure will become more stable without needing higher doses of medicine

Namaste, You’ve described your situation very clearly — this looks like postpartum + stress-related BP imbalance, and the good part is that your systolic (upper) BP is controlled, only diastolic (lower) BP remains borderline high. Simple understanding: The lower BP (diastolic) is more related to vascular resistance + stress + nervous system tone. In your case, triggers are likely: Chronic stress (kids + work + emotional events) Postpartum hormonal shifts Mild cholesterol elevation So this is not just a “heart issue” — it is mind-body + hormonal + vascular response. Good sign: Your readings 110–120 / 86–91 are borderline, not severe. This can often be stabilized gradually. About Medha Vati: Yes, it can be helpful because it works on stress, anxiety, and nervous system, which indirectly supports BP. But it should be used in a balanced way, not as a sole treatment. Simple measures that may help: Continue yoga/meditation (very important in your case). Add slow breathing (5–10 mins twice daily) – directly reduces diastolic BP. Ensure deep sleep (even short quality rest matters). Avoid overexertion and mental overload. Include magnesium-rich foods (nuts, seeds, leafy greens). Limit caffeine and excess salt. Ayurvedic medicines with dose and timing: Medha Vati – 1 tablet, twice daily after meals Arjunarishta – 15 ml with equal water, after lunch Sarpagandha Vati – 1 tablet, at bedtime (only if BP remains high consistently) These help in calming the system + supporting BP balance. Continue Amlodipine as prescribed — do not stop suddenly. With consistency, diastolic BP usually improves over 6–8 weeks. Consult me for more advice and suggestions on the above medicines.

The condition you describe is a clear case of Rakta vata where apan vaat and pran vata are aggravated due to Postpartum depletion and high mental stress It is due to the resistance caused by vata kapha obstruction in blood channels Maida Vati is suitable as it acts on majja dhaatu to come The Nervous system but for blood pressure management it best work when it pairs with other herbs Our focus is to balance vata dosha while managing cholesterol 1) cardiol tablet - one tablet toys daily after food 2) manasamrita vatakam- tablet at bed time with warm milk 3) arjunaarist 15 ml twice daily with equal water after food 4) ksheerbala Thailam - 5 to 7 drops for head massage before bath You can continue Maida Vati one tablet twice daily but the addition of manasamrita vattakam is Highly Effective for specific stress you are going through after managing work and young child Include garlic cook food bottle guard pomegranate and fibre rich millets to your food reduce salt intake avoid pickle Papad or processed snacks avoid cold salads or refrigerated drink stick to warm fresh cooked meals Self massage with warm sesame oil on the scalp and source of feet before sleeping As you already doing Pranayam so continue it everyday Ensure you are in bed by 10:00 p.m. or take 7 to 8 hours of sound sleep

Hello, First, your concern is completely valid- even if the upper Bp is normal, a persistent high lower number (diastolic Bp 86-91) still matters, esepcially with your pregnancy history What’s likely happening in your case You had -pregnancy induced hypertension//preeclampsia tendency -recurrent Bp issues after both pregnancies -ongoing stress+interuppted motherhood lifestyle -mild cholestrol elevation In Ayurveda, this pattern usually reflects -vata aggravation = stress, overwork, lack of recovery -associated pitta involvement = vascular tension -postpartum depletion that never fully settled Your systolic Bp improved with medicines But the diastolic remains elevated because the body is staying in a constant tension/stress response Important medical insight Your readings 110-120/86-91 -The top number is good -but yes- your doctor is correct persistent diastolic > 85-90 still needs attention long term Esepcially because -history of pregnancy hypertension increases future cardiovascular risk Can you take Medha vati? -It may help stress/anxiety in some people But i would not rely on it as the main Bp treatment, especially while already on Amlodipine Also -medha vati can sometimes feel too sedating/tiring for busy mothers Ayurvedic gentle and sustainable approach 1) Stress + nervous system regulation -Brahmi ghrita=1 tsp at bedtime with warm water =calms nervous system + supports sleep/stress response -Saraswatarishtam= 15ml with warm water after dinner =helps stress related bp evaluation 2) Vata-pitta Bp support -Arjunarishtam= 15ml with warm water after meals =supports heart + vascular tone Most effective lifestyle sleep Daily -warm sesame oil foot massage at night -scalp oil application and massage 3-4 times / week This sounds. simple, but for postartum vata related Bp pattern it can help significantly Diet -continue balanced diet -add -warm cooked meals -magnesium rich foods= pumpkin seeds, leafy greens -adequate protein Avoid -excess caffeine -long fasting gaps -constant multitaking while eating Your yoga/meditation is excellent That;s already helping your upper Bp stays controlled Focus now on -nervous system recovery -deep sleep quality -reducing constant alert mode Because diastolic Bp is often linked to chronic internal tension Very important Do not stop amlodipine suddenly If bp improves cosistently over months medication adjustment should only happen with your physician Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you
