Yes, this can absolutely be healed, though it will need gentle consistent care for few months rather than quick fix Everything you have mentioned - oesophageal spasm GERD chest burning Vagus linked palpitations gas heaviness and post gallbladder surgery issues are connected through your digestive fire and nervous system( pitta- vata imbalance)… when bile flow changes after gallbladder removal, acid regulation and fat digestion, both suffer This creates upward, moving gas and information that irritates the oesophagus and Vagus nerve causing reflux spasm and even palpitations Extra weight adds abdominal pressure worsening reflux and small hernia Healing comes by soothing inflammation, strengthening digestion calming vata and gradually reducing weight through warm like regular meals You can start on Avipattikara churna half teaspoon with water before meals Shank vati Kamdudha Ras One tablet twice daily after food with warm water Sutashekara Ras one tablet twice daily after food with warm water Triphala churna 1 teaspoon with warm water at bedtime Walk for 30 minutes daily. Do not lie down immediately after taking food walk at least for five minutes after taking food practice, Pranayam meditation. Don’t take heavy meals. It’s small frequent meals while sleeping. Keep your head elevated and sleep. With regularity and calm digestion, this spasm and reflux ease , vagus nerve irritation settles weight, gradually drops, and the system can fully recover

Yes, managing esophagus spasms and GERD through Ayurveda can be both possible and beneficial in your case. According to Ayurvedic principles, GERD and related symptoms like spasms and inflammation are often associated with an imbalance in the Pitta dosha, which governs metabolism and digestion.

Bringing Pitta into balance can help alleviate these issues. Start by addressing your dietary habits. Avoiding spicy, sour, and fried foods is crucial as these can aggravate Pitta and worsen GERD symptoms. Opt for cooling and soothing foods like cucumber, zucchini, and ash gourd. Incorporate small amounts of fresh ginger into your meals to help digestibility without aggravating Pitta.

Eating smaller, more frequent meals rather than heavy meals can also help reduce pressure on your stomach, and subsequently, the esophagus. Try to avoid lying down directly after eating—giving yourself at least 2-3 hours to digest food before reclining. Observing regular meal times is also supportive of Agni, your digestive fire.

For natural remedies, consider herbal formulations such as Avipattikar churna, which can be taken before meals to balance digestion and reduce acid reflux symptoms. Alongside this, Triphala can help with weight management while offering gentle detoxification. Drinking warm water with a touch of jeera (cumin) can help reduce gas and bloating symptoms.

Given your weight concern, incorporate regular physical activities such as brisk walking or yoga. As weight can exacerbate GERD symptoms and pressure on hernias, gradual weight loss through balanced diet and activity will provide relief. Seek advice from a practitioner on hernia management, as your condition may require specific medical intervention.

Remember also to manage stress, as it has considerable impact on both digestion and Pitta disorders. Simple breathing exercises like pranayama can maintain balance in your nervous system and digestion, potentially aiding in calming the vagus nerve.

If you experience severe or recurrent heart palpitations, it’s important to consult with a healthcare provider, as swift action could be necessary to rule out serious conditions. Ayurveda supports holistic health, but should complement rather than replace medical advice where necessary.

Healing from esophageal spasms and GERD within an Ayurvedic framework is about balancing your body’s doshas and digestive fire (agni). The symptoms you describe are often linked to an imbalance, especially in the Pitta dosha, which governs metabolism and heat. Losing your gallbladder and having a small umbilical hernia add layers to the complexity but can be managed with care.

Here are some practical steps to support healing:

Firstly, focus on cooling the Pitta. Avoid spicy, acidic, and oily foods, which can exacerbate GERD symptoms. Instead, emphasize cooling and soothing foods like cooked vegetables, pears, and melons. Warm foods that aren’t too heavy or greasy are ideal—such as steamed vegetables with a bit of ghee. Chamomile tea may help calm the digestive system for you as well.

Focusing on your agni, incorporate a bit of ginger tea before meals to stimulate digestion. However, ensure it’s not too strong, as this might increase heat further. A simple blend of warm water with a teaspoon of honey and lemon first thing in the morning may help kick-start gentle detoxification.

Since weight loss is a goal, mindful eating with smaller portions can help. Chew thoroughly and eat slowly; avoid taking fluids during the meal as this dilutes digestive enzymes.

Given the link to vagus nerve irritation and heart palpitations, incorporating gentle Pranayama, particularly Anulom Vilom (alternate nostril breathing), can have a calming effect on the nervous system and support systemic balance.

Seek a safe herbal preparation like Avipattikar churna, which can aid in reducing acid buildup. However, it’s imperative to consult an Ayurvedic practitioner who understands your specific constitution and conditions before starting any formulations.

Because you’re 50 pounds overweight and with existing conditions like the hernia, moderate exercise such as walking or Surya Namaskar (sun salutations) can promote gentle weight loss and enhance circulation.

Remember, though it might not be an emergency in the immediate sense, persistent heart palpitations and GERD symptoms warrant a medical professional’s advice, especially regarding complications like hernia worsening or aggravating heart symptoms.

Incorporating these lifestyle changes gradually may strengthen your digestive resilience and balance the overall system, assisting in the natural healing process. Always prioritize safe, personalized guidance alongside any existing medical treatment.
