Addressing stomach parasites through Ayurveda involves rebalancing your digestive system and reinforcing your body’s natural defense mechanisms. First, let’s focus on dietary recommendations to support your healing.

1. Dietary Changes: Start with a light, easily digestible diet. Incorporate foods like warm soups, rice, and well-cooked vegetables. Avoid raw, cold, and heavy foods, as they can strain your digestion. Ginger, garlic, and onion are known for their anti-parasitic properties – try to include them in your meals. Spice up your food subtly using warming herbs, like black pepper, turmeric, and cumin, which help stimulate agni, your digestive fire.

2. Herbal Support: Neem (Azadirachta indica) is highly regarded in Ayurveda for its anti-parasitic actions. Taking neem capsules or drinking neem tea can help in eliminating parasites. Another beneficial herb is Vidanga (Embelia ribes), which specifically targets parasites. Consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner for the correct dosages.

3. Digestive Herbs: Strengthening your agni is crucial. Triphala is a classical Ayurvedic formula that balances overall digestion and promotes detoxification. You can take Triphala powder mixed with warm water every evening before bed to cleanse your digestive tract.

4. Lifestyle Adjustments: Establish a routine that calms the mind and aids in better sleep. Practicing evening meditation or gentle yoga can reduce stress and assist with falling asleep. Avoid stimulating activities and heavy meals late in the evening to improve your sleep quality.

5. Hydration and Detoxification: Drink warm water throughout the day to help flush out toxins. Consider starting your day with a glass of warm water with a squeeze of lemon to kickstart digestion.

Remember, for persistent issues, it’s highly advisable to get professional medical help fast to rule out any serious underlying conditions. This approach ensures your treatment is safe and effective. Stay attentive to your body’s responses and adjust as needed.

For parasites causing bloating and sleep disturbances, addressing the imbalance in your system is crucial. This situation often involves a disruption in the agni (digestive fire) and possibly an imbalance in the doshas, particularly vata and pitta. Here, I’ll outline some steps, using Siddha-Ayurvedic principles.

First, consider incorporating a herbal remedy known in the Siddha tradition as “Nilavembu.” It’s effective for its deep-cleansing properties which can help expel stubborn parasites. Prepare a decoction by boiling 5g of dried Nilavembu leaves in 200ml water. Reduce it to half. Strain and drink it once a day on an empty stomach for a week. Ensure you follow this precisely.

Alongside, taking “Arugampul” (Bermuda grass) juice can aid in restoring balance and building up immunity. Blend fresh Arugampul with a small amount of water and consume 30 ml once daily in the morning.

Dietary adjustments are also important. Avoid raw and uncooked foods, especially salads, which may exacerbate symptoms. Instead, favor simple, warm foods like kichadi, and ginger tea to boost agni. Be sure to stay hydrated with boiled, warm water throughout the day.

For sleep disturbances, focus on calming practices like Pranayama to settle the nervous system, particularly the nadis. Ensure a consistent sleep schedule, avoiding stimulants like caffeine in the evening.

If symptoms persist or worsen, seek immediate medical attention. Persistent parasitic infections can lead to more serious conditions, best assessed with conventional medical diagnostics. Maintain this balanced approach to naturally support your body’s capacity to heal.
