In Ayurveda, excessive body hair, often considered a pitta imbalance, can sometimes be influenced by one’s prakriti (natural constitution). Even though lab results are normal, Ayurveda seeks to balance underlying dosha discrepancies and nurture the body’s systems gently, naturally.

Begin with dietary adjustments. Favor a pitta-pacifying diet, which might help to reduce the growth over time. This includes cooling, sweet, and bitter foods. Incorporate more organic whole grains like quinoa and barley, as well as green leafy vegetables, and fresh fruits like pears and melons into your diet. Minimize spicy, sour, and salty foods, which can aggravate pitta, unintentionally promoting more hair growth.

Include herbs like turmeric in your daily routine. Mix half a teaspoon of turmeric powder with warm water and take this blend either in the morning or at night. Turmeric is renowned for its anti-inflammatory and balancing properties, that can subtly influence pitta regulation.

Externally, try a paste using chickpea flour. Mix with a bit of turmeric and milk to form a paste, and apply it on the areas with excess hair. Let the paste dry, then gently scrub it off. This could help manage hair thickness and slow down it’s growth over time. Repeat this process every week to potentially see gradual change.

Pay attention to your lifestyle, as stress can imbalance your doshas. Practice calming activities such as yoga, pranayama (breathing exercises) prehaps even meditation. These activities not only balance the mind but also harmonize hormones, potentially impacting hair growth patterns.

Finally, for a more tailored plan, consulting an Ayurvedic practitioner in person will provide specific remedies aligned with your unique needs. This personalized approach is crucial, as it ensures safety and alignment with your individual constitution and current health state.

From a Siddha-Ayurvedic perspective, excessive body hair can sometimes be linked to imbalances in your body’s doshas, specifically an overabundance of pitta dosha. You might consider some holistic steps rooted in this tradition. First, focus on dietary adjustments to balance your doshas. Incorporating more cooling foods like cucumber, coriander, and coconut can help manage the pitta. Avoid spicy, salty, and sour foods that can aggravate the condition.

A herbal approach you could explore is the use of turmeric and chickpea flour. Create a paste by mixing equal parts with a little water. Apply this paste as a gentle exfoliant on the affected areas and leave it to dry for about 15-20 minutes before washing off. Do this regularly, perhaps twice a week. It won’t show instant results but can gradually reduce hair density over time.

You might also benefit from an oil massage, known as Abhyanga, using Bhringraj or Amla oil. Massage the affected areas before your bath, leaving the oil on for about 30 minutes. This can support harmonizing the body’s internal systems over time as it penetrates deeply into the tissues.

However, it’s important to not overlook any underlying conditions that might require medical attention. While you’ve mentioned that all labs are normal, keep monitoring for any signs or symptoms that could point to an endocrine imbalance. Always consult a qualified practitioner for tailored advice, particularly if planning to undertake any radical lifestyle changes.
