From an Ayurvedic perspective, excessive masturbation might lead to imbalances in Vata dosha. This dosha, when disturbed, can cause discomfort and pain in low back and the pelvic area. Testicular pain sometimes could also be due to Vata imbalances affecting reproductive system. What happens is, your body might be telling you it needs a bit of a break, or you might be overdoing it, yeah, that happens.

Here’s what you can do: massage your lower back and abdomen area with warm sesame oil. Sesame oil helps calm Vata, it’s like a little piece of warm comfort. Take warm baths if you can. You might also want to drink some herbal teas like Ashwagandha or Shatavari-infused teas, these are cooling and help strengthen body’s tissues. Don’t forget proper hydration—water is your pal here.

Now about masturbation and impotence—masturbation itself doesn’t cause impotence. But what does happen sometimes is psychological stress related to it, that anxiety might lead to performance anxiety.
