how to stop premature ejaculation - #23190

I am really struggling with premature ejaculation, and it’s starting to take a toll on my relationship. I’ve tried a few things, like breathing exercises and even some herbal supplements, but nothing seems to work. Honestly, last week I had an embarrassing situation where I couldn’t last more than a minute, and I felt so inadequate. I started researching online and came across some Ayurvedic methods, but I'm not sure how to stop premature ejaculation with those. Are there any specific herbs or treatments that really help? I could really use some guidance here!

Premature ejaculation can indeed be frustrating, but Ayurveda offers some promising insights. Central to Ayurvedic philosophy is understanding your prakriti, or constitution, and any dosha imbalances that might be affecting you. Often, premature ejaculation is linked with imbalances in the Vata and Pitta doshas.

Start by incorporating Ashwagandha into your routine. Known in Ayurveda as a potent adaptogen, Ashwagandha can help in balancing Vata and managing stress levels, which may alleviate your symptoms. Take 300 mg to 500 mg of Ashwagandha powder with warm milk once or twice daily. Another helpful herb is Shatavari, which nourishes the reproductive tissues and can improve stamina. You can take this in powder or capsule form, around 500 mg daily.

Beyond herbs, pay attention to your diet and lifestyle. Favor warm, cooked foods over raw and cold ones. Spices like ginger and cinnamon can ignite your digestive fire or Agni, which supports overall health. Minimize caffeine and spicy foods, as these can aggravate Pitta. Practice consistent meal timings to strengthen agni.

Regular self-massage (Abhyanga) with sesame oil can calm Vata and enable deeper relaxation. Try dedicating 10-15 minutes a day. Focus on deep breathing or pranayama, especially Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing), which soothes the nervous system and reduces anxiety.

Balancing your lifestyle with a good sleep schedule, mindfulness, and gentle exercise like yoga can also improve control. Specific asanas like the Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana) and the Butterfly Pose (Baddha Konasana) aid in enhancing blood flow and calming the body.

If these methods do not show improvement or symptoms worsen, I do recomend consulting an Ayurvedic physician who can provide a tailored approach and maybe explore other therapeutic interventions. While these remedies can be effective, patience and consistency are key to see lasting results.
