Chronic Prostratis - #252

I am suffering from chronic prostratis from long back. This is due to infection or inflammation is unknown. I had severe symptoms like urine issues, burning, pain in pelvic region,…etc. My all culture tests shows negative. But my doctor says it may be of infection. I had consulted many doctors and I tried many medications but nothing worked. I am also trying homeopathy and ayurveda but it is not working. Can you please suggest how can I completely cure this?

Chornic prostatitis can be a real pain, quite literally, and a tough nut to crack, especially when the causes are not clear. Given all you’ve tried, it’s frustrating, I get it. From an Ayurvedic view, we start by looking at doshas - the energies that govern our body and mind balance. In your case, an imbalance in Vata and Pitta doshas is likely, cuz they both govern areas related to inflammation and the pelvic region.

First off, diet is key. So keep away from spicy, oily and very acidic foods, which may aggravate Pitta. Instead, think soothing or grounding stuff like whole grains, ghee, almonds, and warm milk. Lots of water, herbal teas like chamomile or coriander can help with that burning sensation.

And don’t forget lifestyle. Try incorporating specific yoga poses – malasana (garland pose) or ustrasana (camel pose) could support pelvic opening and relaxation, done gently tho. Meditation and pranayama (breath control) are also great, calms the nervous system and balances Vata.
