The Ayurvedic Perspective According to Ayurveda, the primary causes are: Vitiated Vata: Increases sensitivity and “unsteadiness” of the mind. Excessive Pitta: Creates heat in the reproductive system (Shukrashaya). Manda Agni: Poor digestion leading to the accumulation of Ama (toxins), which can irritate the system. Lifestyle & Diet Tips Empty the Bladder: Always urinate before going to bed. Cooling Foods: Incorporate bottle gourd, amla, and pomegranate. Avoid overly spicy, salty, or fermented “Ramasic” foods at night. Triphala Water: Wash your feet and eyes with cool water before sleep to calm the nervous system. For managing nocturnal emissions and strengthening the reproductive system, the following protocol is typically suggested: 1. Saraswatarishtam- Calms the mind and reduces anxiety/stress-related emissions. 20 ml with equal water, twice daily after food. 2.
