Lalas Amla & Bhringaraj Shampoo - #32619

Theodore

I am really at my wits end here! For the past couple months, my scalp has been sooo itchy, and I’ve been losing hair like crazy. I heard about this Lalas Amla & Bhringaraj Shampoo from a friend, and honestly, I’m desperate to try anything. I tried a few other shampoos but they just made everything worse, adding to the oiliness and flakes. Ugh, it's so frustrating! Anyway, my friend swears that the Lalas Amla & Bhringaraj Shampoo helped her when she had similar issues. She says it really nourishes the scalp and hair, but I’m kinda skeptical. Was she just lucky or does it actually work!? Like, my hair feels lifeless, and I can’t tell if it’s due to stress or if there’s a more serious problem?? I even went to a doc and got scared with some test results, but they didn’t find anything major. Thinking of switching to something like the Lalas Amla & Bhringaraj Shampoo but not sure if it's worth it. Anyone else used it?? Did it help with your itchy scalp and hair loss or is this just another product hype? Any experiences or tips would be awesome!

Doctors' responses

Your friend recommending Lalas Amla & Bhringaraj Shampoo might be onto something, especially since these ingredients are rooted in traditional Ayurvedic hair care. Amla, or Indian gooseberry, is well-regarded in classic Ayurvedic texts for its nourishing properties, often used for improving hair health, promoting growth, and preventing premature graying. It’s known to strengthen the hair roots, thereby reducing hair loss. Bhringaraj, often called the ‘king of herbs’ for hair, is praised for its ability to soothe the scalp, enhance hair texture, and stimulate new growth, which could potentially address both the itchiness and hair fall you’re experiencing.

If you’re skeptical, it might help to reflect on your dosha balance and overall constitution, as Ayurveda emphasizes personalised care. An unbalanced Vata dosha, for instance, can lead to dry scalp and excessive hair loss. Identifying if there has been a recent lifestyle or dietary change leading to a dosha imbalance may offer deeper insights. Incorporate foods that pacify Vata like cooked veggies and warm, moist dishes, and avoid excessively dry or cold foods.

When using this shampoo, pay attention to your existing hair care routine. Overwashing can strip natural oils, leading to irritation or an oily reparative response. Try spacing washes and massaging the scalp gently but thoroughly on wash days. Patience is key; you’d likely need a few weeks to notice significant changes while using a new product like the Lalas Amla & Bhringaraj Shampoo.

If symptoms worsen or don’t improve, consider reassessing with a healthcare provider or an Ayurvedic practitioner. They can further evaluate factors like your stress levels, nutritional status, and other lifestyle elements that influence scalp and hair health.
