AIM Well Dermim Tablet - #34575

Henry

I am kinda confused and need help. I started taking AIM Well Dermim Tablet a few weeks ago, after reading about how it can help with skin issues. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical at first. I have struggled with acne for years, and nothing seems to really work for me. At one point, I was even on antibiotics, but they messed with my stomach. 🙁 After trying AIM Well Dermim Tablet, I thought I was finally figuring this out. My skin did feel better in the first week—fewer breakouts and less oiliness, which was amazing! But now, I’m startin to notice some weird side effects. Like, my skin feels really dry and flaky in some areas, which is definitely not what I expected. Is this normal with AIM Well Dermim Tablet? Could it be that I'm taking too much, or does it mean it’s reacting with my skin in a bad way? Also, I read somewhere that it might take a while for the body to adjust? How long does that normally take? Plus, is there any particular time of the day I should be taking these tablets? I'm just trying to figure out if it's worth sticking with it or if I need to switch to something else. Any insights would be super helpful!

Doctors' responses

AIM Well Dermim Tablets are often used by individuals seeking relief from skin problems like acne, due to its formulation potentially rich in ingredients targeting skin health. However, it’s crucial to understand how it works with your unique constitution or prarkriti, which an ayurvedic practitioner can assess. Your observation of initial improvement followed by dryness could indeed suggest either a dosage issue or specific skin sensitivity.

Dry, flaky skin might indicate a vata imbalance, as vata dosha, when aggravated, can lead to dryness and rough texture. To counteract this, ensure that you’re maintaining adequate hydration and perhaps incorporate a warming, hydrating diet focused on cooked vegetables, ghee, and whole grains, aligning more with vata pacifying guidelines. This should help rebalance any unintended effects you might be experiencing.

For dosage concerns, verify that you’re not exceeding recommended guidelines, as more is not always better with Ayurvedic supplements—balance is key. Typically, these should be taken as directed by a healthcare professional. If there’s no such instruction, beginning with a common twice daily regimen with meals is often advisable, but always cross-check with any label instructions on the product you’re using.

About your query on how long the adjustment might take, it varies—some see adjustments within 3-4 weeks; however, it’s highly individualized. If the dryness persists beyond this duration or worsens, it might be prudent to reassess the treatment strategy, possibly consulting with a professional to tailor further adjustments.

Remember, addressing acne isn’t just about topical or oral solutions—it involves holistic lifestyle assessments, which include stress management and optimizing digestion (agni), both of which significantly impact skin health.

To add, before taking any supplement, especially alongside others, it’s wise to confirm there’s no interaction, even with herbal products. If discomfort continues, consulting with an ayurvedic practitioner for a personalized approach is recommended to ensure the treatment aligns with your unique body constitution and overall health.

Sounds like you’re experiencing quite a mix of effects with the Dermim Tablet. When it comes to Ayurvedic supplements like the AIM Well Dermim Tablet, it’s essential to understand they work to balance doshas, and can affect individuals differently depending on their unique constitution, or prakriti. The initial improvement is a good sign, but the dryness and flakiness you’re noticing may indicate an imbalance; perhaps your vata dosha has become aggravated.

An excessive dose or improper timing could also contribute to these side effects. Usually, the best time to take such supplements is after meals, which might help your body absorb their benefits more effectively, and minimize digestive discomfort. Consider reducing the dose temporarily to see if the dryness decreases, maintaining or adjusting based on your body’s feedback.

Adjusting to Ayurvedic treatments sometimes takes several weeks, as the body undergoes a detoxification process, expelling accumulated toxins (ama) and reinstating balance. This timeframe can vary, but typically, it may take around 4-6 weeks for a clearer picture of how it’s working for you. During this time, paying attention to your body’s responses is crucial.

If the symptoms persist or cause significant discomfort, it might be wise to pause the tablets and consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner who can provide a more nuanced assessment. They can offer tailored advice considering your complete prakriti, nadis and possibly suggest alternatives for acne management such as herbal skincare remedies, dietary adjustments, or specific detoxifying practices which might support your skin health without adverse effects.
