For addressing IBS in Ayurveda, a comprehensive approach is crucial to balance the doshas, especially Vata, which is often implicated in digestive troubles. First, to enhance digestion and absorption, strengthen your Agni - the digestive fire. Ayurvedic remedies like Hingvashtak Churna can be effective when taken with the first bite of food during meals. It’s particularly helpful for alleviating irregular digestion and can ease your symptoms.

To support overall digestive health and help with nutrient absorption, consider taking Triphala Churna, an effective remedy known for balancing the body and promoting proper digestive function. Have half a teaspoon with warm water before bedtime. Additionally, incorporating herbs like Ashwagandha can help with weight gain and strengthen the body. You can take Ashwagandha powder with warm milk twice daily.

Dietary adjustments are also important. Focus on easily digestible foods - like mung dal, steamed vegetables, and rice. Avoid raw foods, as they can aggravate Vata. Cook foods with ghee, cumin, and ginger to promote digestion.

Incorporating routine helps; ensure regular meal times and proper rest. Integrating stress management techniques such as yoga, meditation or pranayama can also restore balance and support digestive health.

Do consult with an Ayurvedic practitioner before starting any new medication to ensure it’s tailored to your constitution and current symptoms. Monitoring your body’s reaction and seeking professional advice ensures you’re on the right track to restoring your digestive health and gaining healthy weight. Check with a healthcare professional if there’s any concern about balancing these liifestyle changes with other health conditions.
