I am dealing with this really annoying issue lately, and I keep hearing different opinions about diet changes. I've got these fissures that just don't seem to heal, and it's been super uncomfortable. A friend mentioned I should try eating more onion and said that onion is good for fissures, but I'm not really sure about that. I mean, can something as simple as onion really help with this kind of problem? I tried some home remedies but they haven’t worked much, and I feel like every day is just a battle. 🙄 It’s embarrassing to talk about, but I’m kinda desperate! My diet used to be all about fast food and processed stuff, and now I’m trying to eat more fiber and be healthier overall. Anyway, I read onions can be great for digestion too. Is that true?? I tried incorporating raw onion into my salads but it kinda burns my mouth sometimes, so I wonder if there's a better way to prepare them. I guess I'm just confused about whether onion is good for fissures or if it might make things worse? Any tips or insights would be super appreciated!

Consistent regularity and smooth stool passage are key to preventing continued strain and injury to fissures.

If raw onion irritates, you might trying sautéing or roasting them. This not only reduces the sharp taste but also enhances digestibility. Cooking onions brings down their pungency and can make them easier on the stomach for some people, so consider incorporating them in cooked dishes, soups, or broths rather than raw.

For fissures, fiber and hydration are far more vital. High-fiber vegetables and fruits, whole grains, and plenty of water form the foundation of a diet that helps prevent constipation and support bowel health. Psyllium husk is another excellent source of fiber, known in Ayurveda to gently aid stool formation and ease passage, helping fissures heal.
