In Ayurveda, substance addiction is seen as an imbalance of the mind and body, especially aggravation of Vata and disturbance of mental clarity (Sattva). Treatment focuses on calming the nervous system, improving digestion (Agni), and removing accumulated toxins (Ama) —Rx: 1) avipatikarchurn 3 gm BD at night with Luke warm water 2) Brahmi pearl capsule 1 cap BD after food – medhya, smriti vardhak 3) Guduchi Satva 500 mg BD with lukewarm water 4) Triphala tab 1 tab at night with warm water – for koshta shuddhi ----Panchakarma Advice:- under supervision Abhyanga + Swedana – 7 daily or alternate days Shirodhara – 7–14 sittings Matra Basti / Kala Basti – as per avastha Nasya – after initial snehana ----Pathya (Do’s): Warm, light, satvik diet (khichdi, yusha) Proper sleep, stress reduction Pranayama, meditation —Apathya (Don’ts): All intoxicants, junk food, irregular routine Advice: Combine with counseling / de-addiction support for better outcome.

You’re not going to “detox” 7 years of meth use quickly with Ayurveda alone. That idea will set you up for relapse. The safest and most effective way is medical de-addiction support + Ayurveda as support therapy. First priority Consult a doctor or de-addiction center. Meth withdrawal can cause severe depression, anxiety, and relapse risk. If possible, enroll in a structured program (inpatient or outpatient). Do not try to quit completely alone if you have strong cravings or mood symptoms.

Hello, First Ayurveda can support recovery but meth withdrawal and relapse risk are serious- please don’t do this alone. The safest path is combining addiction medicine/ support (doctor , counselor, recovery program) with Ayurvedic support In Ayurveda, long term stimulant use may aggravate Vata (nervous system depletion), pitta (irritability), and ojas depletion (low resilience). focus is to stabilize cravings, nourish the system, restore sleep, and regularize digestion Internally start. with Nervous system and craving support 1) Ashwagandharishtam= 20ml + equal water twice daily after meals = supports stress reslience, weakess, recovery 2) Brahmi pearl capsule= 1 cap twice daily after meals =supports anxiety, racing mind, sleep regulation 3) Ksheerbala capsule 101= 2 cap twice daily after meals =supports vata imbalance, restlessness, nervous depletion Daily habits very important -Morning oil masage with warm dhanwantaram taila -Night/ foot scalp massage with ksheerbala taila Food = recovery medicine -do not skip meals very important for cravings -warm, simple meals= moong khichdi, soups, rice, cooked vegetables -hdrate well -avoid caffeine overload, energy drinks and erratic eating Sleep + stress reset -fixed sleep time -Anulom vilom 10 min -Bhramari 7 rounds -daily walking, sunlight When miht you feel a difference? -1-2 weeks = may feel slightly calmer, sleep/appetite may begin improving -4-8 weeks= better stability and reduced agitation may develop -3+ months= deeper rebuilding often takes time and consistency If you have severe agitation, chest pain, suicidal thoughts, hallucinations, or feel at risk of using again today seek help immediately consult immediately without any hesitation. When cravins hits (urge wave) -eat something warm (don’t stay hungry) -10 slow breaths + bhramari pranayam -walk 10 minutes -delay acting on urge by 20 minutes (cravings often peak and pass) Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you

• Aswagandharishta (450 Ml) - Kerala Ayurveda (Aswagandharishta 450 Ml) — x2 • Brahmi Pearls Capsules (40 Nos) - Kerala Ayurveda (Brahmi Pearls 40 Nos) — x1 • Ksheerabala 101 Avarti Capsule (100 Nos) - Kerala Ayurveda (Ksheerabala 101 Avarti Capsule 100 Nos) — x1 • Dhanwantharam Thailam - Kerala Ayurveda (Dhanwantharam Thailam 200 Ml) — x2 • Ksheerabala Thailam - Kerala Ayurveda (Ksheerabala Thailam 200 Ml) — x1

Hello, Detoxing from long-term methamphetamine use is a significant challenge, and it is vital to acknowledge that meth withdrawal can cause severe depression, fatigue, and potential cardiac or psychological issues. While Ayurveda offers supportive therapies to rejuvenate the nervous system and clear toxins (Amavisha), it should ideally be used alongside professional medical supervision or rehabilitation services. In Ayurveda, chronic addiction is viewed as a state of Ojakshaya (depletion of vital energy) and a severe imbalance of Vata and Pitta doshas. Long-term stimulant use “dries out” the nervous system. Treatment focuses on Snehana (oleation) and Shamana (pacification) to calm anxiety and tremors. Detoxification focuses on the liver and blood (Rakta) to clear the chemical heat from the body. There is one Sattvavajaya Chikitsa is Ayurvedic psychotherapy, focusing on strengthening the “Sattva” (purity/strength) of the mind to prevent relapse. Ayurveda Medicine : 1. General Internal Detoxification: Kalyanaka Ghritam This is a medicated ghee used to improve mental health and detoxify the brain tissues. It helps in managing the cognitive “fog” and anxiety associated with withdrawal. Dose: 1 teaspoon (5-10g) with warm water on an empty stomach in the morning. 2. Nervous System Support: Brahmi Capsules Brahmi is a premier Medhya Rasayana (nootropic). It helps repair the dopamine receptors and neurotransmitter pathways damaged by long-term meth use. Dose: 1 capsule twice daily after food with water. 3. Liver and Blood Purifier: Patolakaturohinyadi Kwath This liquid formulation is powerful for clearing systemic toxins (Visa) and cooling the blood, which is essential after years of chemical exposure. Dose: 15ml mixed with 45ml of lukewarm water, twice daily, 30 minutes before food. 4. Stress and Sleep Management: Ashwagandharishta A fermented decoction that acts as a nerve tonic to combat the extreme fatigue and “crash” during the detox phase. Dose: 20ml mixed with an equal amount of water, twice daily after meals.

Quitting meth after long use is very important but also needs proper support. Ayurveda can help in recovery, but detox should not be done alone at home — medical supervision is strongly advised to prevent relapse and manage withdrawal safely. First focus on stabilising body and mind: Eat simple, regular meals even if appetite is low Keep hydration good (warm water, soups) Sleep routine is very important — go to bed at fixed time Avoid isolation, stay connected with support system For cravings and nervous system calming: Deep breathing (pranayama), especially anulom vilom and bhramari Light walking or yoga daily At home: Warm milk with a pinch of nutmeg at night can help sleep Dates or soaked almonds help improve strength Ashwagandha churna – 1 teaspoon with milk at bedtime Brahmi vati – 1 tablet twice daily Jatamansi churna – ½ teaspoon at bedtime These help reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and support nervous system recovery. Most important: If possible, take help from a de-addiction centre or doctor, especially in early withdrawal phase. Combining Ayurveda with proper medical and psychological support gives best results. You can recover with the right support and consistency. Regards, Dr Raghuveer (Ayurvedacharya)
