What are the amazing chandan benefits for skin that I should know about? - #22364

I am really curious about the chandan benefits for skin. Last month, I started using a chandan face pack, hoping to clear up these annoying blemishes and dry patches. Sometimes I feel like my skin just doesn't get enough moisture, and I really thought that this would be a great natural solution. After a few uses, I'm not sure if I'm seeing much difference, like maybe slight improvements but nothing crazy. Are there specific chandan benefits for skin that I should be looking for? Also, is it okay to use it every day? I've read people saying that the chandan benefits for skin are tremendous, but I need to understand better what exactly those benefits are, like does it help with pigmentation or even just with overall glow? I really want my skin to look fresh, especially with the upcoming family event this month! So if there's any other advice out there regarding the chandan benefits for skin, please share! Also, I have sensitive skin…so just want to make sure I'm not overdoing it or causing any irritation. Any tips would be super helpful!!

Chandan, also known as sandalwood, is really beloved in Ayurveda for its cooling, healing, and soothing properties, especially for the skin. The benefits you’re curious about might not appear immediately but with consistent usage, they can be remarkable. For blemishes and pigmentation, chandan can help lighten dark spots and even out skin tone due to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. This doesn’t happen overnight, though — patience is key.

Considering you have sensitive skin, chandan’s anti-inflammatory nature can indeed soothe irritation, reduce redness, and calm the skin, making it a good choice. But daily usage for sensitive skin could be a bit too much. Perhaps using it 2-3 times a week might be a safer start. If you notice excessive dryness or irritation, cut back on application frequency. Always perform a patch test on a small area of your skin first, if you haven’t already, to ensure there are no adverse reactions especially as sensitive skin can be unpredictable.

Regarding hydration, if you’re feeling like your skin is still dry despite using chandan, you might want to combine it with another ingredient, like honey or rose water, to enhance moisture.
