can we use kumkumadi tailam in day time - #25483

Elijah

I am really confused about something and hope someone can help me. I've been using kumkumadi tailam, right? There’s this great buzz about it for brightening the skin and I love how my face feels after applying it at night. But lately, I’ve been wondering, can we use kumkumadi tailam in day time too? Like, is that okay? I mean, when I put it on before bed, I wake up feeling glow-y, but I wonder if it would do anything good during the day when there's sun and stuff? I've got a few friends telling me that using it in the day might cause greasiness or maybe cause breakouts, but... does it really? My skin can get a little oily sometimes, but it’s not like totally problematic. I tried it once in the morning and felt like I looked shiny but not in the good way, ya know? Does this mean kumkumadi tailam is only for night, or can we use kumkumadi tailam in day time? Would love insights from you guys! 😟

Sure, you can definitely use kumkumadi tailam during the day, but there are definitely things to keep in mind to make sure it works for you. Kumkumadi tailam is known for its skin brightening properties and for imparting that glow, so it's no wonder you're loving it from your night routine. However, when it comes to daytime use, especially since you mentioned your skin gets a bit oily sometimes, there's a few pointers to consider. Firstly, kumkumadi tailam is an oil-based formula, which means it can indeed make your skin appear more greasy and shiny, especially if you're stepping out in the sun. To balance this, try using a really small amount in the morning. Dab just a few drops on your skin and spread evenly. You can even mix it with your regular moisturizer or apply it under makeup to lessen that oily sheen. One major aspect to consider is sunlight. Kumkumadi tailam contains fine natural essential oils that can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight, potentially leading to tan or irritation. So, if you're planning to spend a lot of time outside, it's wise to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen over the oil. As for breakouts, if you're prone to acne or have sensitive skin, test the oil in a small quantity and watch your skin’s reaction over a few days. Sometimes oils can clog pores, especially for oily skin types. In Ayurveda, skin health is closely linked to a healthy diet and lifestyle, so paying attention to your eating habits (avoiding excessively oily and spicy foods) and maintaining a good cleansing routine is also important. In short, yes, you can use it during the day—the trick is moderation and protection. Always start with less and observe what suits your skin best. If you're still concerned, you might wanna reserve it for nighttime use and employ a lighter, non-comedogenic product for the daytime.
