I am really struggling with my skin lately and I've been hearing a lot about using natural remedies. I heard chandan is supposed to be super good for your skin, but I’m not really sure how to make chandan face pack work for me. A friend told me it helps with acne scars, which I really need since I’ve been dealing with those after a breakout last month. My skin has been looking dull and tired too. I tried buying one from the store, but it was all chemically loaded and didn’t really do much. Ugh. I wanna go the natural route instead. Can someone please help me out with how to make chandan face pack? Like, what do I mix it with? I’ve heard things like rose water or maybe yogurt? But I’m not sure. How long should I leave it on my face? Do I need to do it regularly to see some results? I’m just kinda lost here and a bit desperate for some glow back. Would appreciate any easy tips or recipes! Thanks!

To create a chandan face pack that addresses your needs, you can focus on using pure sandalwood powder, which is renowned in Ayurveda for its skin-enhancing properties. It’s excellent for balancing excess Pitta dosha, which can contribute to heat-related skin issues like acne.

Firstly, find genuine sandalwood powder (chandan), as purity is essential for efficacy. You’re right about using rose water; it’s the ideal choice for someone looking to soothe and cool the skin, which can be particularly beneficial after breakouts.

Here’s a simple recipe:

- Mix 1-2 teaspoons of sandalwood powder with rose water until you get a smooth paste. Rose water will help calm any redness or irritation and is a natural toner.

- If your skin tends to be dry, you might want to replace or add to rose water with a teaspoon of full-fat yogurt. Yogurt contains lactic acid, which helps gently exfoliate and fade scars while moisturizing.

- For tired, dull skin, add a pinch of turmeric to the mixture. Just be careful here: turmeric can stain, so use it sparingly.
