The acne you’re experiencing is likely linked to a Pitta imbalance, which can manifest as heat-related skin issues. In Ayurveda, addressing the root cause is essential, so it’s important to pacify the Pitta dosha. Since your wedding is approaching, some immediate adjustments might be helpful.

First, consider simplifying your skincare routine to avoid overloading your skin; using too many products can sometimes irritate sensitive or acne-prone skin. For now, you could limit yourself to a couple key elements. Continue with Multani mitti (Fuller’s Earth) as it has a cooling and soothing effect, use it with plain water or rose water, avoiding the curd, as dairy can sometimes exacerbate acne.

Neem powder is generally beneficial due to its antibacterial properties but use sparingly, perhaps once a week to see how your skin reacts. If you’re applying aloe vera gel, make sure it’s pure and used fresh - applying a thin layer might help with inflammation.

Regarding internal balance, focus on a diet that helps calm Pitta. This means eating more cooling foods like cucumbers, zucchini, cilantro, and avoiding spicy, oily, and overly hot foods. Stay hydrated but with room-temperature water, include more fruits like pomegranates and pears which are good for Pitta.

It’s possible the rashes near your mouth might be a reaction to a topical application, or even diet-related, maybe consider keeping cosmetics and toothpaste free of strong chemicals, and make sure the kumkumadi tailam is authentic before continuing its use.

If these changes don’t bring quick relief, it might be wise to consult a local Ayurvedic practitioner who can provide personalized advice and assess if other treatments like herbal medications might be needed. If redness or rashes continue, or increase, professional medical advice without delay would be important.

Thanks so much for clarifying this! I had no idea mixing meds could be risky. I'll stick to my doctor's meds and look into Ayurveda separately.
