how to remove black spots under eyes - #39698

Lillian

I am really stressing about these black spots under my eyes! They’ve shown up over the past few months and at first, I thought maybe it was just lack of sleep or allergies cause I have been dealing with a lot of work pressure lately. But now, it's like, no matter how much sleep I get, they just kinda stay there. I even tried some over-the-counter creams, but honestly, they haven't done much of anything. I heard from a friend that maybe there's some natural way on how to remove black spots under eyes? I’ve read a bit about it, but not sure what's really effective, you know? If it’s something simple like applying potato juice or maybe using some kind of herbal paste, I’d love to hear any tips or suggestions from you guys! Also, have any of you dealt with this and found something that worked? I mean, sometimes I feel like these spots make me look older than I am, so if there’s a way to get rid of them naturally that would be awesome. Just wondering how long it usually takes to see results too, like am I gonna be stuck with these black spots under my eyes for ages? Help!

Dark circles or black spots under the eyes can be quite a bother and affect one’s confidence. Based on Ayurvedic principles, these may be attributed to imbalances in your doshas, particularly Pitta and Vata doshas, which can result from stress, lack of sleep, or even dietary choices.

Addressing the lifestyle first can have a significant impact. Try to regulate your sleep pattern; aim for a consistent schedule such as sleeping and waking up at the same time every day, even on weekends. Also, practice some relaxation techniques like deep breathing or meditation to alleviate stressors and enhance your Pitta balance.

Now, let’s consider dietary adjustments. Focus on incorporating cooling and nourishing foods into your meals. Things like cucumber and watermelon can help reduce excess heat in the body. Hydration is key—ensure you are drinking enough water daily, possibly up to 8-10 glasses, to keep your skin healthy and detoxified. Avoid spicy, oily foods that may aggravate Pitta dosha.

For a topical approach, you can apply a simple Ayurvedic remedy. Make a paste by mixing sandalwood powder with rose water and apply it gently around your eyes for 10-15 minutes, then wash off with lukewarm water. Do this daily, preferably before bed. Another beneficial remedy is to apply almond oil around your eyes, it is rich in Vitamin E, which nourishes the skin and might lighten the spots over time. Just gently massage a few drops and leave it for the night.

Application of herbal oil like kumkumadi tailam can also be beneficial. This classical oil nourishes and revitalizes skin, use this once daily by gently massaging a few drops under your eyes before sleep. As with any natural remedy, patience is key. It might take a few weeks to see visible results, so consistent application is vital. However, if these dark spots persist or worsen, consult an ayurvedic practitioner or dermatologist for further assessment.
