I am really curious about this whole sarso oil thing. A friend told me it's great for hair, but I don’t know. Lately, I've been dealing with frizzy hair, and my scalp is super dry, it feels like it’s on fire sometimes!! I’ve tried some shampoos and even some other oils, but nothing seems to help. I heard that sarso oil is a thing, and people say it’s amazing for hair growth and all but like, is sarso oil good for hair really? Last week, I just ordered some online, and I’m debating whether to use it or not. Should I use it as a regular scalp massage? I think I read somewhere that it's supposed to help with dryness too, which is huge for me. But, I honestly have no clue how often to use it, or if I should mix it with something else? Every time I try something new, I just hope it works without making my hair greasy. Also, I’ve seen discussions about how sarso oil might even help with dandruff, which I’ve also been battling. Is there any specific technique for applying sarso oil? I’m worried I might mess it up. Just looking for some proper answers about whether it's really worth it for me. Thanks!!

Sarso oil, also known as mustard oil, can be beneficial for hair health if used properly. In Ayurveda, it’s praised for its warming properties which stimulate circulation and thereby support hair growth and scalp nourishment. Given your issues with frizzy, dry hair and dandruff, sarso oil could indeed offer relief.

For your dry scalp and frizzy hair, regularly massaging your scalp and hair with sarso oil can be helpful. The oil’s content of fatty acids and vitamins like A, D, E, and K, support hair health – hydrating your scalp while smoothing hair strands. Use the oil sparingly, applying a small amount to your scalp with gentle circular motions, ideally, once to twice a week.

Considering your dry scalp feels inflamed, warm the oil slightly before application; warm oil promotes better absorption and can aid in soothing inflammation. However, avoid overheating it — just a mild warmth is perfect. You might also try mixing sarso oil with coconut or almond oil to reduce its potent aroma and enhance its moisturizing benefits.

If dandruff is a persistent issue, adding a pinch of neem powder to the oil and using it topically can assist due to its antifungal properties.
