Include fresh green vegetables semi cooked/ sauted in your diet Do pranayam lom -vilom bhastrika bhamri kapalbhatti twice daily for 5-10mins. Include black dates, in your diet.

Hair fall and thinning can be distressing, especially at a young age. In Ayurveda, this could often be related to an imbalance in the doshas, particularly Vata and Pitta. To address these concerns, it’s essential to take a holistic approach involving diet, lifestyle adjustments, and possible remedy treatments.

First, diet plays, a crucial role. Encourage your daugther to consume foods that pacify Vata and Pitta doshas, such as warm, cooked meals and avoid excessive spicy, oily, or fried food. Include plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins like lentils and beans. Hydration is critical, so she’s drink plenty of water and herbal teas.

Next, incorporate Ayurvedic herbs that strengthen hair—Bhringraj, Brahmi, and Amla can be beneficial. Have her apply a warm Bhringraj or coconut oil mixed with Brahmi on her scalp once a week. Gently massage for about 10 minutes, leave it on for several hours or overnight, and wash it off with a mild, ayurvedic shampoo.

Stress can exacerbate hair loss, so practices like yoga or regular exercise might help in managing stress levels. Sleeping well, roughly 7-8 hours and maintaining a consistent routine can significantly contribute to reducing hair fall.

Consider adding herbs like Ashwagandha or Shatavari if hormones could be a factor. Both balance Vata and Pitta and support overall health. However, consult a practitioner before starting any herbal supplementation, as they must be suitable for her unique prakriti (body constitution).

Lastly, if the hairfall is acute or accompanied by scalp issues, it’s vital to seek advice from an Ayurvedic or allopathic docter to rule out underlying health conditions that may need immediate attention.
