which oil is best for hair fall control - #44851

Allison

I am pretty stressed about my hair lately! Like, I've noticed so much more hair fall than usual – it’s kinda scary. I use to have thick hair but now it feels like it’s thinning. I tried some random shampoos and treatments but nothing seem to work. I was hoping to find out which oil is best for hair fall control because I’ve heard that oils can work wonders. Last week, I visited a friend who said she’s been using coconut oil and it's done miracles for her but I'm not sure if that's just a coincidence or real. I’ve also heard about castor oil but it sounds heavy? My scalp gets oily pretty easily, so I'm unsure about that. Is there a specific oil that’s known for boosting growth and minimizing hair fall? Also, what about mixing oils? 😊 Would that be too much? I just want something gentle yet effective! Like, I’m really hoping to avoid any more bald spots. If I try something, how long should I realistically wait to see results? I’m kinda impatient, to be honest! Any advice on which oil is best for hair fall control would help me so much – thanks in advance!

When dealing with hair fall issues, understanding the root cause is essential for effective treatment. Stress, diet, hormonal imbalances or scalp conditions can contribute to increased hair fall. In Ayurvedic practices, certain oils are renowned for their abilities to nourish the scalp and promote healthy hair growth. One of the top contenders for hair fall contol is Bhringraj oil, also known as ‘Kesharaja’ in Sanskrit, which means the ‘King of Hair.’ This oil is believed to strengthen hair roots, reduce hair fall, and encourage hair growth.

Bhringraj oil works by penetrating into the scalp and improving blood circulation, which enhances the delivery of nutrients to hair follicles. For optimal results, gently warm the oil and massage it into your scalp, allowing it to sit for a few hours or overnight before washing. Doing this 2-3 times a week can yield improvements overtime. But here’s the catch: results can take some time, usually around six to eight weeks, so patience is key.

Coconut oil mixed with Bhringraj can enhance its benefits. Coconut oil is lightweight and deeply moisturizing. It helps reduce protein loss in both damaged and undamaged hair. Mixing these oils could be practical as long as it’s used in moderation to avoid adding too much oiliness to your scalp.

Castor oil can also be beneficial due to its ricinoleic acid and omega-6 fatty acids which improve circulation to the scalp. However, since it’s indeed thick, use it in small amounts, either diluted with a lighter oil like jojoba or in a blend with other oils.

Avoid excessive application that might overload your scalp, especially if your scalp tends to be oily. Try to adopt a gentle massage technique which will increase relaxation and relieve stress—a known contributor to hair fall.

Ayurveda emphasizes on treating underlying causes, so it’s essential to address lifestyle and dietary balances as well. Consuming a diet rich in vitamins B, D, and iron, and maintaining hydration can make a substantial difference. Reducing stress through meditation or yoga can enhance overall results as well.
