Combining Pilgrim’s hair growth serum and homemade dried rosemary oil can be a good strategy if your current approach isn’t controlling your hair fall. Rosemary is known for its properties in promoting hair growth and improving scalp health. However, since coconut oil increases your dandruff, another carrier oil might be more appropriate for you.
Consider using jojoba oil, known for its similarity to the skin’s natural sebum and its non-greasy texture. Jojoba oil is great for those with dandruff as it can help balance the oil production of the scalp. Alternatively, almond oil is also a good choice as it is lightweight and nourishing, and less likely to contribute to dandruff issues.
To make rosemary oil: Infuse about two tablespoons of dried rosemary leaves in a cup of the chosen carrier oil. Begin the process by gently heating the oil and rosemary mixture over a low flame for about 15-20 minutes until warm. Make sure not to let the oil get too hot, as this can impair the beneficial properties of the ingredients. Then, cool, strain the oil and store it in a dark glass bottle. You can use this rosemary oil on your scalp two to three times a week.
In addition, be mindful that hair fall can be driven by numerous factors, including diet, stress, or even hormonal imbalance. In Ayurveda, this may be associated with Pitta dosha imbalance. Incorporating a Pitta-pacifying diet might helpt. Include cooling foods, such as melon, cucumber, and mint, and avoid overly spicy or hot meals. Also consider practicing stress-reducing activities like meditation or yoga to support hair health.
Lastly, check your overall health and lifestyle choices, ensuring that your diet is rich in essential nutrients like iron, zinc, and omega-3 fatty acids, which are crucial for hair strength and growth.
