THANK YOU FOR REACHING OUT AND TRUSTING WITH YOUR HEALTH JOURNEY I HAVE READ YOUR ENTIRE HISTORY VERY CAREFULLY AND WANT YOU TO FIRST UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS NOT A NEW ILLNESS BUT A LONG STANDING GRAHANI AND AGNI DISORDER WHICH HAS FLUCTUATED BASED ON HOW STABLE YOUR DIGESTIVE FIRE HAS BEEN OVER THE YEARS THE MOST IMPORTANT POSITIVE SIGN IN YOUR CASE IS THAT YOU RESPONDED VERY WELL TO AYURVEDIC MEDICINES IN 2022 YOUR WEIGHT INCREASED YOUR STOOL IMPROVED AND GAS REDUCED WHICH CLEARLY SHOWS THAT YOUR BODY HAS THE CAPACITY TO HEAL WHEN THE RIGHT MEDICINES AND DIET ARE GIVEN CONSISTENTLY

AT PRESENT YOUR SYMPTOMS SEMI LIQUID STOOL ONCE IN THE MORNING EXCESS GAS THROUGHOUT THE DAY BLOATING AFTER LUNCH WEAKNESS FATIGUE PAIN IN FEET AND GRADUAL WEIGHT LOSS INDICATE VATA PREDOMINANT GRAHANI WITH MANDAGNI AND AAMA FORMATION YOUR DIGESTIVE FIRE IS WEAK AND UNSTABLE SO FOOD IS GETTING DIGESTED PARTIALLY WHICH LEADS TO GAS MUCUS AND SEMI LIQUID STOOL WHEN STRONG GRAHI MEDICINES LIKE KUTAJ WERE TAKEN IT OVERCORRECTED AND MADE STOOL HARD WHICH SHOWS THAT DOSHA BALANCE WAS NOT INDIVIDUALISED AT THAT TIME

STOPPING ALL MEDICINES FOR THREE MONTHS HAS ALLOWED AGNI TO FALL AGAIN AND THAT IS WHY THE CONDITION IS WORSENING GRAHANI DISORDERS ALWAYS RELAPSE IF DIGESTIVE FIRE IS NOT SUPPORTED FOR A LONG DURATION THIS IS NOT A SHORT TERM CONDITION IT NEEDS CONTINUOUS AND GENTLE CORRECTION FOR AT LEAST SIX TO NINE MONTHS

NOW THE APPROACH SHOULD BE FIRST TO STABILISE AGNI THEN HEAL THE INTESTINAL LINING THEN REDUCE GAS AND BLOATING AND FINALLY BUILD STRENGTH AND WEIGHT

AYURVEDIC MEDICINES ADVISED HINGVASHTAK CHURNA HALF TEASPOON WITH FIRST BITE OF LUNCH AND DINNER GRAHANI KAPAT RAS ONE TABLET TWICE DAILY AFTER FOOD BILVA AVALEHA ONE TEASPOON TWICE DAILY AFTER MEALS PIPPALYASAVA TWENTY ML WITH EQUAL QUANTITY OF WATER AFTER LUNCH AND DINNER ASHWAGANDHA CHURNA FIVE GRAMS WITH WARM MILK AT NIGHT FOR WEAKNESS FATIGUE AND WEIGHT SUPPORT

IF GAS AND BLOATING ARE VERY SEVERE ADD AJMODADI CHURNA HALF TEASPOON AFTER LUNCH WITH WARM WATER

DIET AND LIFESTYLE ARE EQUALLY IMPORTANT EAT SIMPLE WARM FRESHLY COOKED FOOD AVOID CURD BUTTERMILK RAW VEGETABLES BAKERY ITEMS COLD DRINKS AND LATE NIGHT DINNERS LUNCH SHOULD BE THE HEAVIEST MEAL AND DINNER VERY LIGHT CHEW FOOD PROPERLY AND AVOID DRINKING WATER IMMEDIATELY AFTER MEALS

INVESTIGATIONS ADVISED TO RULE OUT ASSOCIATED ISSUES INCLUDE STOOL ROUTINE EXAMINATION STOOL CALPROTECTIN COMPLETE BLOOD COUNT VITAMIN B12 VITAMIN D THYROID PROFILE AND ULTRASOUND ABDOMEN IF NOT DONE RECENTLY

WITH REGULAR MEDICINE DIET DISCIPLINE AND PATIENCE STOOL WILL BECOME FORMED GAS WILL REDUCE ENERGY WILL IMPROVE AND WEIGHT CAN BE GAINED AGAIN THIS CONDITION IS COMPLETELY MANAGEABLE AND REVERSIBLE WHEN TREATED CORRECTLY AND CONSISTENTLY

HELLO,

Your main problem is weak and unstable digestion, not an infection or a single organ disease. In Ayurveda, this condition is called Grahani Roga. -Grahani is the digestive systems control center Its job is: -To digest food properly -To absorb nutrients -To form normal stool

When digestion is strong → stool is normal → body gains strength
When digestion is weak → stool becomes loose or irregular → gas, bloating, weakness, weight loss occur

Why Your Stool is Semi-Liquid but Only Once Daily Many people think loose stool means diarrhea, but this is different. -You pass stool once in the morning → intestine is not overactive -Stool is semi-liquid → food is not fully digested -Mucus → intestine is irritated and weak -Gas and bloating → food is fermenting instead of digesting This clearly points to poor digestion and absorption, not infection.

Why Gas and Bloating Are Constant -Because Digestive fire (Agni) is weak -Food stays longer inside intestine -Undigested food produces gas -Gas moves upward and sideways → bloating, discomfort This is called Vata disturbance in Ayurveda.

Why Weight Increased Earlier and Is Now Falling Again Earlier improvement: -Medicines like Livamrit, Arogyavardhini, Chitrakadi, Punarvadi Mandur • Improved digestion • Reduced toxins • Absorption improved • • -Result → weight increased from 60 → 75 kg Why problem returned: -Digestive fire did not become stable -Medicines were stopped too early -Later Kutaj was given (strong stool-binding medicine) • It hardened stool • Increased dryness (Vata) • Agni was still weak → imbalance worsened So problem is not failure of treatment, but incomplete healing of digestion

Main Causes in Your Case 1. Mandagni – weak digestion 2. Vishamagni – digestion works sometimes, fails sometimes 3. Vata dominance – gas, bloating, pain, weight loss 4. Ama (toxins) – due to undigested food

Disease Process Weak digestion → food not digested → toxins form → intestine weakens → stool becomes loose → gas increases → nutrients not absorbed → weakness & weight loss

Treatment Goals -Remove toxins (Ama) -Strengthen digestive fire (Agni) -Normalize movement of gas (Vata anulomana) -Gently stabilize stool -Restore strength and weight If stool is stopped without fixing digestion → problem returns again (as happened).

Internal Medicines

1) Hingwashtak Churna= ½ teaspoon after meals with warm water for 6–8 weeks =Reduces gas, Improves digestion, Corrects abnormal movement of Vata, Prevents bloating after meals

2)Ajamodadi Churna= ½ teaspoon before lunch & dinner for 4–6 weeks =Prevents gas formation, Helps digestion of heavy food, Reduces abdominal discomfort

3)Bilva Avaleha= 1 teaspoon in morning empty stomach for 4–6 weeks =Gently firms stool, Strengthens intestine, Does NOT cause constipation like Kutaj

4) Takrarishta=20 ml + equal water after lunch & dinner for 6–8 weeks =Best medicine for chronic Grahani, Improves gut bacteria naturally, Reduces mucus, Enhances absorption

5) Ashwagandha Churna= ½ teaspoon at night with warm milk for 8–12 weeks =Improves strength, Reduces fatigue, Helps weight stabilization, Supports nerves and muscles

6) Drakshasava= 20 ml after lunch for 6 weeks =Improves energy, Mild digestive tonic, Prevents excessive dryness

.External Therapies

1)Oil Massage -Warm sesame oil -Massage legs, abdomen, lower back -3–4 times per week =Reduces Vata, Improves weakness and pain in feet, Calms nervous system

2) Hot Water Bag on Abdomen -Once daily, 10–15 minutes -Especially after meals if bloated

Diet -Soft cooked rice -Moong dal -Khichdi -Bottle gourd, pumpkin, ridge gourd -Homemade buttermilk with roasted cumin

Foods to Avoid Completely (At least 2–3 months): -Milk, curd, paneer -Cheese -Raw salads -Fried food -Bakery, biscuits -Cold drinks -Late-night meals Even healthy foods can worsen Grahani if digestion is weak.

Home Remedies

1) Jeera Water -Boil 1 tsp cumin in 1 liter water -Sip warm through the day

2) Buttermilk Remedy -Thin buttermilk + roasted cumin + pinch of hing -Once daily after lunch

3)Dry Ginger -Small piece chewed before meals if appetite is low

Yoga Asanas: -Pawanmuktasana -Malasana -Bhujangasana -Vajrasana (after meals)

Pranayama: -Anulom Vilom – 10 minutes -Bhramari – 5 rounds -Deep abdominal breathing Avoid Kapalbhati initially (can increase Vata).

Lifestyle Changes -Fixed meal timings -No sleeping during daytime -Walk 5–10 minutes after meals -Avoid stress, anxiety, overthinking

Expected Recovery Timeline -Gas reduction → 7–10 days -Stool improvement → 2–3 weeks -Strength improvement → 4–6 weeks -Weight stabilization → 2–3 months

Your condition is chronic but reversible.
It requires patience, consistency, and digestion-focused treatment, not aggressive stool-binding. If digestion is healed → stool, weight, energy automatically normalize.

DO FOLLOW

HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL

THANK YOU

Hlo,

Your symptoms suggest a Grahani disorder with: Mandagni (weak digestive fire) Vata–Pitta dominance Poor absorption → gas, bloating, semi-liquid stool, weight loss, fatigue

Kutaj made stool hard because it over-controlled Pitta and aggravated Vata, so it was not suitable for long-term use in your case.

Ayurveda Prescription (mild & balanced) 1. Hingvashtak Churna Dose: ½ tsp How: With warm water Timing: 15 minutes before lunch and dinner Purpose: Reduces gas, bloating, improves digestion

2. Bilva Avaleha Dose: 1 tsp How: After breakfast Purpose: Firms stool without causing constipation, strengthens Grahani

3. Takra (Buttermilk) Therapy – Very Important Fresh buttermilk (not sour) Add: Roasted jeera powder – ¼ tsp Hing – a pinch Timing: After lunch daily Purpose: Best classical treatment for Grahani

4. Ashwagandha Churna Dose: ½ tsp How: With warm water or milk Timing: At night Purpose: Helps weight loss, fatigue, weakness, foot pain

5. Dadimashtaka Churna (optional but helpful) Dose: ½ tsp Timing: After meals (once or twice daily) Purpose: Improves digestion + absorption

Diet Rules (VERY IMPORTANT) Avoid completely for now: Curd (especially at night) Raw vegetables Fried food Tea/coffee Cold water Prefer: Rice, moong dal Soft chapati Steamed vegetables Pomegranate Warm water only Eat fixed timing, no overeating.

What to Expect Gas & bloating ↓ in 7–10 days Stool consistency improves in 2–3 weeks Weight & strength slowly improve over 1–2 months

Your digestive system shows a chronic pattern of vata pitta imbalance with ama formation and weak agni The temporary improvement in 2022 with livamrit arogyavardhini chitrakadi vati and punarvadi mandur shows that supporting liver and agni along with rasayana therapy can improve metabolism and weight gain However changes with kutaj leading to hard stool and stopping medication have led to recurrence Semi liquid stool bloating excessive gas fatigue and weakness indicate persistent ama and mandagni with vata kapha imbalance affecting absorption and overall strength

For current management triphala churna 5 grams with warm water at night helps regulate bowel movement and reduce mucus Hingvashtak churna 2 grams after lunch and dinner reduces gas and bloating Sitopaladi churna 3 grams with warm milk morning and night improves digestion and nourishes ojas Punarvadi mandur 250 mg two tablets twice daily after food strengthens liver and metabolism Continue warm cooked meals avoid cold drinks raw food heavy oily fried items and sugar Adequate hydration light exercise and proper sleep will support digestion and gradually improve stool consistency strength and overall vitality

Hello Thanks for sharing your story you explained everything so well, and I can hear just how exhausting this journey has been. Seven years of up-and-down digestion, weight changes, and feeling weak? That’s a lot to deal with.

AYURVEDIC PERSPECTIVE

What’s actually happening in your body: Your symptoms point right at Grahani Roga, which basically means a chronic intestinal disorder. There’s a clear Vata–Pitta imbalance, your digestive fire (Agni) feels pretty low, and your colon isn’t happy either.

That’s why you see:

- Loose, semi-formed stools –digestion and absorption just aren’t working right. - Gas and bloating –Vata acting up. - Losing weight – your body isn’t holding onto nutrients, especially in the muscle and fluid tissues. - Weakness and fatigue – nutrition isn’t reaching where it needs to go. - Foot pain – more Vata, this time in the bones.

You felt better in the past because you stuck with medicines like Livamrit, Arogyavardhini, Chitrakadi Vati, and Punarnavadi Mandur. Those helped your digestion and absorption. But stopping suddenly or using them irregularly triggered a setback.

So what’s the simple version? You eat → digestion doesn’t finish the job → toxins build up → your colon gets irritated → stools stay loose → gas builds up → nutrients get lost → weight and energy crash. Classic, chronic Grahani.

AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT

We do it in three steps: 1. Fix your digestion (Agni deepana) 2. Stabilize your intestines (Grahani sthirikarana) 3. Build you back up — strength and weight (Brimhana)

Here’s your plan:

1. For Digestion & Better Stools:

- Kutaj Ghan Vati: 2 tablets after meals, twice a day (don’t worry, dose is balanced, won’t cause constipation)

- Bilva Avaleha: 1 teaspoon after meals, twice a day (great for loose, mucusy stools)

- Sanjivani Vati: 1 tablet, twice a day (clears out toxins, helps with gas)

- Takrarishta: 20ml with water, twice a day (soothes your colon)

2. For Gas, Bloating, and Weakness: - Hingwashtak Churna: Half a teaspoon with the first bite of lunch and dinner

- Drakshadi Lehyam: 1 teaspoon at night (gives energy, helps absorb nutrients)

3. For Weight Gain & Strength (after your stools improve): - After 10–15 days, when things are more solid: - Ashwagandha Lehyam: 1 tsp, twice a day - Shatavari Churna: 3g at night with warm milk

Diet — honestly, this matters most. For 2 months, just avoid: - Milk at night - Curd - Fried food - Tea, coffee - Raw salads - Bakery stuff - Cold water

What to eat: Morning: - Rice kanji (thin rice porridge)

Lunch: - Rice with moong dal - Bottle gourd, pumpkin, carrot - Buttermilk (but only during the day)

Dinner: - Khichdi - Veggie soup

Snacks: - Roasted chana - Pomegranate - Ripe banana

Drink warm water. Always.

Lifestyle tips - Eat at the same times every day - Don’t overeat - Walk for 10 minutes after meals - Lower your stress, avoid staying up late - Try to sleep before 11 pm

Why is this taking so long? - Grahani just heals slowly - Stopping meds suddenly brings everything back - Wrong foods restart the whole mess

And a big warning: Don’t take only laxatives, only liver tonics, or random antibiotics — they’ll just make things worse.

You’re not dealing with anything dangerous. This is a functional problem, not a life-threatening one. Once your Agni (digestive fire) is back, everything else falls into place – firmer stools, less gas, better weight, more energy, and the pain eases up. The trick is, you have to stick with it.

Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate
