Doctors' responses

Hlo,

Japanese raisin tree (Hovenia dulcis) may support liver function, mainly by reducing oxidative stress, but it does not “rehabilitate” the liver and evidence in humans is limited. Best extract: Fruit/seed extract. Bark and leaf are less supported by evidence. Typical dose used in supplements: about 300–600 mg per day of a standardized fruit/seed extract . Expectation: May help with fatigue related to liver stress, but not a treatment for liver disease.
