You can use Keram oil (Coconut oil) for hair thinning and dandruff. I

🌿 How Keram Oil Helps - Moisturizes scalp → reduces dryness and flaking. - Antifungal & antibacterial → coconut oil naturally helps control dandruff-causing yeast (Malassezia). - Strengthens hair roots → nourishes follicles, reduces thinning. - Cooling effect → calms scalp irritation and itching.

✅ How to Use Keram Oil - Warm slightly before use. - Massage gently into scalp for 10–15 minutes. - Leave for 3-6 hours (or overnight if comfortable). - Wash with a mild herbal shampoo (like shikakai, reetha, or neem-based). - Repeat 2–3 times per week.

🌿 Ayurvedic Additions for Severe Dandruff - Neem oil (Nimba taila) mixed with coconut oil (1:1) → strong antifungal. - Bhringraj oil → promotes hair growth, reduces thinning. - Amla oil → nourishes scalp, reduces dandruff and strengthens hair.

🥗 Lifestyle & Diet Tips - Avoid excess junk food, fried and fermented items (they aggravate dandruff). - Include Amla, sesame seeds, flax seeds, and green leafy vegetables for hair nutrition. - Practice stress management (yoga, pranayama) — stress worsens dandruff and hair fall.

Warm Regards DR. ANJALI SEHRAWAT

Hello I get why you’re worried. When you’ve got thinning hair and dandruff that just won’t quit, it usually points to a long-term problem with your scalp’s balance. Just using oil won’t cut it – we’ve got to fix the actual cause.

Can you use Keram Oil? Sure, but keep these things in mind:

Keram Oil is good for: * Feeding your hair roots * Dealing with dryness * Making hair a bit stronger

But if your dandruff is bad, oil alone won’t fix it. Too much oil can even make the flakes worse if your scalp’s got a fungal thing going on.

So, use Keram Oil after you get the dandruff under control.

AYURVEDIC UNDERSTANDING

Long-lasting dandruff + thinning hair means: * Your scalp’s got a Pitta + Kapha thing happening * There are Ama (toxins) hanging around * Your hair’s weak because your scalp’s not getting good blood flow

First: Get the Dandruff Sorted (super important!)

Simple weekly plan: * Put on some neem oil or coconut oil + 2 drops of tea tree oil * Wait 30–45 mins * Wash it out with a gentle herbal shampoo

Herbal helpers (they work well): * Triphala churna – ½ teaspoon with warm water before bed * Neem capsules – one a day

This cleans you out from the inside.

Second: Use Keram Oil the Right Way

Once the flakes calm down: * Use Keram Oil 2–3 times a week * Massage gently, leave it for an hour (not all night) * Wash it out with a gentle shampoo

This will help with: * Less hair falling out * Making your hair thicker over time

Other good Ayurvedic oils (maybe better than Keram):

If the dandruff is really bad: * Neelibringadi oil * Kottakkal Durdurapatradi oil * Bringadi taila

These do more than just make your hair look nice.

What to Eat & Do for a Healthy Scalp

Don’t eat:

* Fried stuff * Sugar * Bakery treats * Super spicy foods

Eat more:

* Amla * Curry leaves * Coconut * Almonds (soaked)

Drink lots of water.

How Long Before You See Results? * Dandruff getting better: 3–4 weeks * Hair getting thicker: 3–6 months Hair takes time – sticking with it is what matters.

If the dandruff sticks around, no oil will stop your hair from thinning. Fix your scalp first, then feed your hair.

Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

You can use Keram oil, but it will not treat severe dandruff or stop long-term hair thinning. It may help with dryness and hair smoothness only. Since you have severe dandruff for more than 5 years, so you can try Ayurvedic treatment

Neem oil or Neem-based shampoo – helps reduce dandruff and itching Bhringraj oil – supports hair strength and reduces hair fall Amla (oil or powder) – helps with scalp health and hair thinning Triphala churna – improves internal balance

HAIR THINNING AND DANDRUFF FOR MANY YEARS IS MAINLY DUE TO VATA AGGRAVATION AND SCALP DRYNESS IN AYURVEDA IT IS CONSIDERED AS KESHA KSHAYA WITH PITTA VATA IMBALANCE

Thank you for reaching out and trusting me with your health journey I can understand how frustrating hair thinning and severe dandruff can be especially when it has been going on for many years Keram oil can be used but it is very important to understand the root cause in ayurveda dandruff is usually due to aggravated kapha and pitta vata imbalance in the scalp while hair thinning is mainly due to vata and ojas depletion Using any oil without addressing the underlying imbalance may give temporary relief but will not correct the problem permanently You can use keram oil gently by massaging a small amount on the scalp once or twice a week Leave it for 1 to 2 hours before washing with a mild herbal shampoo Avoid harsh chemical shampoos and excessive heat styling Diet should include warm nourishing foods avoid excessive fried oily and cold foods Include almonds walnuts flax seeds and green leafy vegetables to nourish hair and ojas Regular oil massage with bhringraj oil or coconut oil mixed with a few drops of rosemary or neem oil can also help Reduce stress ensure proper sleep and drink plenty of water Severe persistent dandruff may also require internal ayurvedic medicines like neem or triphala based formulations to cleanse the system and balance doshas
