Barley seeds (barley grain / barley water) can be helpful, but they are not a treatment—just a supportive food.
Hypothyroidism: Barley is high in fiber, which helps digestion and cholesterol. It does not cure thyroid problems and won’t replace your 100 mcg thyroid medicine. 👉 Take barley at least 3–4 hours after your thyroid tablet, because high fiber can reduce medicine absorption.
PCOD (irregular periods): Barley has a low glycemic index, which helps control insulin levels. This can support hormone balance and may help with period regularity over time when combined with a healthy diet and activity.
Hypertension (BP): Barley may help lower BP slightly because of its fiber and potassium content. It is safe with Tazloc-H 40, but it cannot replace BP medicine.
How to take: Barley water or cooked barley 3–4 times per week Avoid adding sugar or excess salt
Important: Continue your thyroid and BP medicines regularly Monitor BP monthly as you are doing 👍 Diet helps, but medicines are essential in long-term thyroid and BP control
