Persistent Darkening of Forehead Skin - #48833

Client_d949d9

Only my forehead has become dark. The doctor says that the reason my forehead alone appears dark and dry is due to excess body heat. The lower part of the forehead and the cheeks are of a normal color suitable to my body, but only the upper forehead area has changed to a dark color and is affected. The upper portion alone looks black and dry, similar to hyperpigmentation. I need a solution. This dark pigmentation has been continuous for more than two years. The color has not returned to my normal skin tone. Conclusion: I have localized hyperpigmentation and dryness limited to the upper forehead. The lower forehead and cheeks have normal skin tone, while the upper forehead alone appears darker, dry, and rough. This condition has been persistent for over two years with no spontaneous improvement or return to normal pigmentation. A previous physician suggested it may be related to excess body heat, but the pigmentation has not responded to general measures. I would like evaluation for possible causes such as chronic hyperpigmentation, frictional melanosis, photo-induced pigmentation, contact dermatitis, or endocrine/metabolic factors, and guidance on appropriate treatment.

Based on your description, this condition fits with: Pitta + Vata imbalance Localized Bhrajaka Pitta dushti (skin pigment metabolism) Chronic Rukshata (dryness) → Vata dominance Possible photo-induced pigmentation / frictional melanosis “Excess body heat” = aggravated Pitta, but dryness means Vata is also involved That’s why only the upper forehead (more sun exposure, sweat, friction) is affected.

Internal medicines- - Mahamanjisthadi Kwath Dose: 15 ml + equal warm water Frequency: Twice daily, before meals - Khadirarishta Dose: 20 ml + equal water Frequency: Twice daily, after meals - Avipattikar Churna Dose: 3 g (½ teaspoon) Frequency: Once daily at bedtime with warm water

External Application - Kumkumadi Tailam Dose: 2–3 drops Application: Apply gently over affected upper forehead at night Frequency: Once daily Duration Minimum: 8–12 weeks

Diet Advice Avoid spicy, fried, oily foods Increase cooling foods (buttermilk, coconut water)

weekly pack (2 times/week) - Sandalwood powder + Rose water Make thin paste Apply only on dark area Wash after 15 minutes

STRICT DO’s & DON’Ts ❌ Avoid: Direct sun on forehead (use cap / umbrella) Harsh face washes, scrubs Frequent touching or rubbing forehead Hair products touching forehead Hot water on face ✅ Do: Use lukewarm water Apply natural moisturizer in daytime (aloe vera gel) Sleep well (late nights worsen Pitta)

Thanks so much for clarifying this! I had no idea mixing meds could be risky. I'll stick to my doctor's meds and look into Ayurveda separately.
