Doctors' responses

In Ayurveda, Tourette-like symptoms (involuntary movements and vocal tics) are often linked to Vata and Pitta imbalances, sometimes with Manasika (mental) stress involvement. - Diagnosis: Chronic Tourette Syndrome (Vata-Pitta dominant) - Medicines: Brahmi Tablet – 500 mg, 2 tablets twice daily after meals with warm milk (nervine tonic, calms tics) Ashwagandha Tablet – 500 mg, 1 tablet twice daily with warm milk (reduces stress, stabilizes Vata) Tagara Tablet – 250 mg, 1 tablet at night with milk (helps sleep & calms tics) Saraswatarishta – 10 ml twice daily after meals with equal water (optional for mental clarity) Optional: - Lifestyle & Diet: Eat warm, cooked, Vata-Pitta pacifying foods; avoid spicy, fried, caffeinated, or cold foods. Daily oil massage (Abhyanga) with sesame or Brahmi oil. Regular sleep; meditation or Pranayama 10–15 min daily. - Follow-up: 4 weeks – monitor tic frequency, sleep, and stress. Adjust treatment accordingly. Tq
