Doctors' responses

-Craving soil/clay is called pica. Most often it’s linked to iron deficiency, sometimes zinc deficiency, or anemia. Calcium alone doesn’t usually fix this, even if you’re already taking tablets. 👉 Please get a blood test if possible: Hemoglobin (Hb) Iron / Ferritin Zinc Vitamin B12 **Ayurvedic Assessment: Dhatu kshaya (mainly Rasa–Rakta) Possible Pandu Roga Agnimandya Vata–Pitta prakopa Rx 1. Punarnava Mandur 👉 1 tablet twice daily 🕒 After meals 🥛 With lukewarm water or buttermilk 2. Ashwagandha Churna 👉 ½ teaspoon twice daily 🕒 After meals 🥛 With warm milk 3. Drakshasava 👉 15 ml twice daily 🕒 After meals 💧 With equal quantity of water 4. Yashtimadhu Churna (if acidity / burning present) 👉 ½ teaspoon once daily 🕒 Morning 🥛 With lukewarm water Pathya (Diet Advice) ✔ Rice, wheat, green vegetables ✔ Beetroot, pomegranate, dates ✔ Buttermilk, cow’s ghee (small amount) ✔ Warm, freshly cooked food Apathya (Avoid) ✖ Eating soil / clay / multani mitti ✖ Tea, coffee excess ✖ Junk, dry, very spicy food ✖ Fasting or skipping meals Anupana & Lifestyle Drink warm water Avoid daytime sleep Mild daily walking Adequate rest Follow-up: After 21–30 days with reports (Craving usually reduces as Rakta dhatu improves)
