Hello I get that you’re super worried about your hair thinning out and falling out after using hair color and stuff. It’s hitting your self-esteem hard, especially since you’re only 17. The good news is, this kind of hair loss is fixable at your age. You’re not going bald for good! AYURVEDIC UNDERSTANDING Okay, so the Ayurvedic take on this is that your scalp has too much Pitta and Vata. Basically, the chemicals messed with your scalp by: – Causing irritation – Burning the roots – Making everything dry – Causing follicle shock Which leads to: – Thinning hair – Too much shedding – No new hair growing Your body’s healthy, BTW. It’s just your hair roots that got hurt, not killed off. Here’s the plan: – Soothe your scalp – Wake up those hair follicles – Stop the hair fall – Get new, thick hair growing – Fix the damage from the chemicals AYURVEDIC PLAN OF TREATMENT INTERNAL MEDICATION: 1. Amla powder– 1 tsp every day 2. Bhringaraj capsule – 1 tablet twice a day after food every day 3. Guduchi powder – ½ tsp every day 4. Chyawanprash– 1 tsp every day 5.Thickshoot A 1 tablet twice a day Think of these as rebuilding your hair from the inside. HAIR CARE Hair Oil (This is key!) Use a mix of Bhringaraj Taila + Neelibhringadi Taila (equal parts) – Put it on your scalp – Massage for 20–30 min – Wash it off 3 times a week Hair Mask (Weekly) Mix: – Aloe vera – Amla powder – Yogurt Leave it on for 30 mins, then wash it out HOME REMEDIES: – Coconut water – 5 almonds (soaked) – 1 tsp of ghee daily – Curry leaves What to Eat: Eat more: – Eggs –Milk – Green veggies – Bananas – Apples –Rice – Nuts Cut out: –Junk food – Cold drinks – Hair dyes – Straightening – Heat styling Lifestyle tips – Get to bed before 10:30 pm – Chill out – no stress – Don’t pull your hair – Wear your hair loose – Use a gentle shampoo Last Thing: Your hair’s just in shock, not dead. Expect less shedding in 8–12 weeks. New hair should start growing in 4–6 months. You’re not the only one dealing with this, and you’re getting better. Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

Hello So, you’re dealing with hair loss and thinning at just 17, and I know how stressful that can be. When your hair starts falling out at such a young age, it feels awful and can really mess with your confidence. You are probably noticing a lot of strands on your pillow or in the shower, and it feels like your scalp is getting dry or overly oily. AYURVEDIC UNDERSTANDING From an Ayurveda view, it seems like excess heat and dryness are damaging your hair roots, mainly caused by Pitta and Vata. Basically: – Pitta (body heat) is acting up. – It’s like the roots of your hair are getting burned out and weakened by this excess heat. – Vata (dryness) is coming in and making the hair shafts thin, dry, and prone to breaking. – Stress, eating too much spicy food, or staying up late makes this Pitta and Vata worse. – Since you are only 17, it’s probably not permanent genetic balding yet, just a severe imbalance in your system. The goal here is to: – Calm down that Pitta and cool your head. – Nourish your scalp and hair roots. – Lessen the hair fall and thinning. – Keep it from turning into long-term hair loss. – Get your natural hair thickness back. AYURVEDIC PLAN INTERNAL MEDICATION: Amalaki Rasayana 1 tsp, twice a day before your food. Bhringrajasava 15 ml mixed with equal water, twice a day after meals. Brahmi Vati 1 tablet, twice a day. These things should: – Bring down the excess heat in your blood and scalp. – Give deep nutrition to your hair follicles. – Chill out your mind and lower stress. – Make that hair fall stop. What to do: Do this every day: – Gentle oil massage on your scalp. Use Neelibhringadi Taila or pure Coconut oil. – Leave it on for at least an hour or overnight. Really important to cool the nerves in your head. Food: – Eat cooling and nourishing foods – Sweet fruits, cucumber, leafy greens – Soaked almonds and walnuts – Ghee – Milk Don’t eat/drink: – Spicy, very sour, and salty foods – Junk food and deep-fried stuff – Too much tea or coffee – Stay up late (it spikes body heat fast) Way of Life: – Don’t stress too much (it literally makes your hair fall out). – Get a full 7-8 hours of sleep. – Don’t wash your hair with hot water—always use lukewarm or cool water. – Try some deep breathing (Pranayama) to chill out. If you treat it now, this thinning can totally be reversed since you are so young. Don’t wait on it—excess Pitta can permanently damage the hair follicles if you do nothing. Take care!

Hello dear I understand you are worried but you should not be stressing yourself out because stress will cause your symptoms to worsen and I hope you are sleeping and eating well. Consider taking an HB and thyroid function test in the meantime especially if you also feel concerns like weakness, mood changes, appetite issues or weight fluctuations. You should take Tapyadi louha 1 tab at bed time Hinguashtakam choorna 3 gm half an hour before food Malatyadi kera taila for external application on head twice in a week followed with wrapping your head in warm towel Amalaki rasayan vati 1 tab after food twice daily Bhrngarajasava 20 ml thrice daily after food Narasimha rasayana 10gm on empty stomach. Follow these for 30 days and mark progress with a photo every 7 days. Using a derm roller or a scalp massager along with hair oil will maximize the benefits. Do not use hot water on scalp. Use a bit of apple cider vinegar in bath water. Avoid fried, salty and spicy food. Try to reduce tension and sleep well. Hope you get well soon

Hair thinning at 17 can feel very distressing, but in many cases it can improve once the underlying cause is addressed. Chemical treatments like highlights and repeated coloring can weaken hair roots, and factors like stress, nutrition, sleep and scalp health also play a big role. Start with: • Gentle hair care — avoid frequent coloring, heat styling and tight hairstyles • Regular oiling (coconut or bhringraj oil) with gentle massage • Balanced diet with enough protein, iron, healthy fats and fresh foods • Proper sleep and stress management Internal support like amla, bhringraj or other Ayurvedic formulations may help in suitable cases, but they should be chosen individually. Since the thinning has lasted more than 6 months and is affecting your confidence, a proper consultation can help identify the exact cause and create a targeted plan to support regrowth and scalp health.
