Doctors' responses

Since you have: ✅ Diabetes ✅ High BP ✅ Proteinuria ✅ Leg swelling (water retention) This is not simple swelling. It is most likely related to kidney stress + fluid retention. We must be careful. 🚨 First – Why Your Feet Are Swelling With diabetes + protein in urine: ➡ Kidneys leak protein ➡ Blood protein level drops ➡ Fluid moves into legs ➡ Swelling (edema) BP medicines can also contribute sometimes. Low salt helps, but if kidney filtration is weak, swelling may still continue. ⚠️ Important Questions Please answer: Is swelling more in evening? Does pressing finger leave a dent (pitting edema)? Any breathlessness? Recent kidney test (creatinine level)? Are you on diuretics (water tablets)? These answers matter. 🩺 What You Should Do Medically This requires monitoring, not just home remedy. Ask your doctor about: Serum creatinine eGFR Urine protein level Albumin level If proteinuria continues, treatment adjustment is needed. 🌿 Safe Supportive Measures (With Kidney Caution) Because you have proteinuria, avoid strong Ayurvedic diuretics without supervision. Safe general measures: ✔ Strict salt restriction (hidden salt also) ✔ Avoid packaged foods ✔ Elevate legs 20 minutes, 3 times daily ✔ Gentle ankle exercises ✔ Walk 20–30 minutes daily ✔ Check BP daily ⚠️ Avoid ❌ Punarnava without doctor guidance ❌ Heavy herbal decoctions ❌ Excess fluid intake ❌ Over-the-counter diuretics In kidney patients, wrong herbs can worsen condition.
