Hi! I’m an assistant to the Ask Ayurveda doctors. I’ve carefully reviewed your question.
I will explain your symptoms through the Ayurvedic perspective so you understand what is happening in your body as a whole.
Your symptoms of a strong urge to urinate with little output can be viewed in Ayurveda as a potential imbalance in the Apana Vata, which governs the downward movement of bodily functions, including urination. When Apana Vata is disturbed, it can lead to irregularities in the elimination process, manifesting as urgency with minimal output.
This condition may also involve an accumulation of Ama (toxins) that can block the urinary channels, causing the sensation of incomplete evacuation. Additionally, if there is any burning sensation or discomfort, it may indicate a Pitta imbalance, contributing to inflammation or irritation in the urinary tract.
Ayurveda sees these symptoms as interconnected rather than isolated issues, suggesting a systemic imbalance that may be influenced by factors such as digestion, stress, or lifestyle habits.
To give doctors a precise and effective treatment plan, your answers to the questions below are essential. Without this information, the recommendations will be more general and less accurate.

Namaste, Aapke symptoms—baar-baar strong urge aana, lekin urine bahut kam ya slow flow mein aana—yeh commonly prostate enlargement (BPH) ya urinary tract irritation se related ho sakta hai. Since aapko pehle se prostate issue ka history bhi hai aur yeh problem suddenly 1 week se start hui hai, isko lightly nahi lena chahiye. Is condition mein bladder full feel hota hai lekin urine properly pass nahi hota, isse discomfort aur urgency badh jaati hai. Mild discomfort bhi indicate karta hai ki irritation ya early infection bhi ho sakta hai. Sabse important baat: agar urine bilkul ruk jaye, lower abdomen mein tightness ya pain ho, toh yeh emergency situation ho sakti hai—turant doctor ko dikhana zaroori hai. Abhi ke liye kuch basic care: Paani kam mat karein, lekin ek saath bahut zyada bhi na piyen—sip-sip karke lein Avoid karein: chai, coffee, alcohol, spicy food—yeh bladder ko irritate karte hain Urge ko rok kar na rakhein, jab bhi urge aaye calmly try karein Warm sitz bath (garam paani mein 10–15 min baithna) lower urinary muscles ko relax karne mein help karta hai. Ayurvedic support (mild and supportive): Gokshuradi Guggulu – 1 tablet twice daily after food Chandraprabha Vati – 1 tablet twice daily after food Varunadi Kwath – 15 ml with equal water, twice daily Yeh medicines urinary flow ko support karte hain aur prostate-related symptoms mein help kar sakte hain. Lekin kyunki aapka symptom acute (sudden onset) hai, sabse important step hai: 👉 ek baar doctor se check karwana (urine test + prostate evaluation), taaki urinary retention ya infection rule out ho sake. Agar timely care liya jaye, toh symptoms usually 3–5 din mein improve hone lagte hain, lekin underlying cause treat karna zaroori hai.
