●Root Causes Ayurveda refers to PCOD as “aatva drishti,” where the ojas (vital energy) is reduced due to an imbalance in kapha, vata, and agni (digestive power). Main Causes: Irregular daily routine Staying up late Junk food and excessive sweets Mental stress and hormonal imbalanceLifestyle is the biggest pillar of treatment. Daily routine: 20-25 minutes of Surya Namaskar Bhujangasana, Setubandhasana, Supta Baddhakonasana • 45-60 minutes of brisk walking daily • Break the habit of staying up late • 1-2 days in a yearly routine (monthly) Digital rest: Improved sleep and movement → PCOD improves rapidly.Food Therapy What to include: Fenugreek, cinnamon, Triphala gourd, tinda, ridge gourd Mung beans, barley Sesame seeds, flax seeds, coconut water What to avoid: Cold foods Rice flour, sugar Cold drinks Excessively fried foods The body’s balance begins to change within 7-8 weeks. ●Stress Management and Mental Relaxation Cortisol and insulin resistance go hand in hand with PCOD.
