fasting blood glucose of 6.9–7.9 mmol/L is in diabetic range and needs regular monitoring. “Fermented apple bark” is not a standard classical Ayurvedic medicine. Apple tree bark preparations are not routinely recommended in Ayurveda for diabetes because dosage and safety are not well established. Short Ayurvedic support for elevated blood sugar: Nishamalaki Churna 3 g twice daily after food with warm water Chandraprabha Vati 2 tablets twice daily after food Gudmar Churna 2–3 g twice daily before food Triphala Churna 3 g at night with warm water Diet Avoid sugar, bakery items, sweet fruits, soft drinks Use barley, millets, green vegetables Daily walking 40–45 minutes

In Ayurveda, elevated fasting blood sugar is often related to Madhumeha (a type of Prameha) caused by weak digestion, excess Kapha, sedentary lifestyle, and disturbed metabolism. Fermented apple bark preparations are sometimes used in folk and herbal practices to support digestion and glucose metabolism, but they should be taken carefully and only in moderate amounts. How Fermented Apple Bark is Traditionally Prepared Take fresh or dried bark of apple tree (clean and chemical-free). Wash properly and dry in shade. Crush into small pieces. Add to a clean glass jar with: 1 liter boiled and cooled water Small amount of jaggery or honey for fermentation Keep covered with a cotton cloth for about 5–7 days in a cool place. Stir once daily. After mild fermentation, strain and store refrigerated. Recommended Dosage Start with 10–15 ml diluted in half cup lukewarm water once daily after food. If well tolerated, maximum usually 20–30 ml/day in divided doses. Avoid excessive intake because over-fermentation may irritate the stomach or affect blood sugar unpredictably. Ayurvedic Supportive Advice for High Fasting Sugar Drink lukewarm water in the morning. Prefer: Barley Millets Green vegetables Bitter foods like karela and methi Avoid: Refined sugar Bakery foods Cold drinks Heavy dinner and daytime sleeping Daily 30–45 minutes walking is highly beneficial.

If by “fermented apple bark” you mean Apple cider vinegar (often made from apple peels and pulp), here is how it is prepared and used. How It Is Made Chop apples (including peels; the bark/wood is not used). Add water and a small amount of sugar or honey. Cover loosely and let it ferment for 2–4 weeks. Strain and ferment another 2–4 weeks until it becomes vinegar. Maximum Recommended Dosage Start with: 1 teaspoon (5 mL) in a full glass of water once daily. Usual dose: 1–2 tablespoons (15–30 mL) per day, always diluted. Maximum commonly recommended: 2 tablespoons (30 mL) per day. � Healthline +1 How to Take It for Elevated Fasting Glucose Mix 1 tablespoon (15 mL) in 200–250 mL water. Take before lunch or dinner (especially higher-carbohydrate meals).
