According to Ayurveda, high sugar levels indicate aggravation of Madhumeha (Kapha-Vata dushti). Alfalfa tonic may help weakness, but it is not the main treatment for diabetes. If taking, prefer a sugar-free preparation and use only for short duration under medical guidance. Strict diet control, regular sugar monitoring, walking, and proper Ayurvedic diabetic management are more important. Avoid sweets, bakery items, junk food, and excess rice. —rx 1) Metformin – Continue as advised by physician. Do not stop suddenly. 2) Nishamalaki Churna – 3 gm twice daily after food with lukewarm water. 3) Chandraprabha Vati – 2 tabs twice daily after food. 4) Gudmar Ghana Vati – 1 tab twice daily before food. 5) Alfalfa tonic (sugar-free only) – 2 tsp twice daily after food for 4–6 weeks if weakness persists. —Diet: Avoid sugar, sweets, bakery items, cold drinks, junk food, excess rice/potato. Take methi, karela, lauki, green vegetables, barley, millet diet. —Lifestyle: Brisk walking 30–45 min daily. Monitor fasting & PP sugar regularly. Check HbA1c every 3 months
