एक 14 साल के किशोर के लिए, जिसकी उम्र और वजन लगभग वयस्कों (Adults) के समान होने लगता है, महासुदर्शन काढ़े की सुरक्षित और प्रभावी मात्रा निम्नलिखित है:
•​सही खुराक (Dosage)
•​मात्रा: 15 से 20 ml (मिलीलीटर) काढ़ा।
•​अनुपान (किसके साथ लें): इसमें बराबर मात्रा में (15-20 ml) गुनगुना पानी मिलाएं।
•​समय: दिन में दो से तीन बार, खाना खाने के बाद या हल्के नाश्ते के बाद दें।
•​चिकित्सीय परामर्श (Clinical Advice & Protocols)
​चूंकि लड़के को एक हफ्ते से 100°F से 102°F तक बुखार आ-जा रहा है और शुरुआती टाइफाइड की शंका है, इसलिए केवल काढ़े के भरोसे रहना पर्याप्त नहीं होगा। आपको इन बातों का विशेष ध्यान रखना चाहिए:

••​सहयोगी औषधियां: आयुर्वेद में टाइफाइड (जिसे मन्थर ज्वर या कफ-पित्त ज्वर भी कहा जा सकता है) के लिए महासुदर्शन काढ़े के साथ अक्सर ‘मकरध्वज वटी’, ‘ज्वरांकुश रस’ या ‘गिलोय घनवटी’ की उचित खुराक स्थिति के अनुसार दी जाती है।
