I have IBS and taking ayurvedic treatment. My recent USG scan as below ( report done 30 days back) ABDOMINAL ULTRASOUND LIVER – is normal in size & echotexture – No evidence of focal or diffuse pathology. Intra & extra hepatic biliary radicles are not dilated. C.B.D IS NOT DILATED GALL BLADDER – is well distended WITH A SMALL 6 MM CALCULUS WITHIN Its wall thickness measures 2 mm PORTAL VEIN & SPLENIC VEIN are normal. PANCREAS – is normal in size & echotexture. SPLEEN – is normal in size & echotexture. KIDNEYS – are normal in size & echotexture – No evidence of CALCULI / HYDRONEPHROSIS. RIGHT KIDNEY – 10.1 x 4.6 cms – CORTICAL THICKNESS – 17 MM LEFT KIDNEY – 10.2 x 4.5 cms – CORTICAL THICKNESS – 19 MM BLADDER – is well distended & is normal. PROSTATE – is normal in size & echotexture. NO EVIDENCE OF ASCITES IMPRESSION - * SMALL SOLITARY GALL STONE - 6 MM Blood test: Vitaminb12 - 271 Vitamin D3 - 19.5ng Issues: Upper back pain while riding bike and sitting long hours without back support. As of now taking below medicineas prescribed by doctor which is tapered after 15 days 1. Chandraprabha vati DS tablet 1-0-1 After food 2. Cholenorm tablet 0-0-1 after food 3. Amalaka rasayana morning empty stomach 5. Patanjali nutrela Vitamin b12 capsule 1-0-1 After food 6. Vitamin D3 60000UI gel capsule weekly one Question: Is this treatment enough and in right track ? Is back pain due to vitamin deficiency ?

Your current treatment appears reasonable for: Small asymptomatic gallstone (6 mm) Mild Vitamin B12 deficiency (271 pg/mL) Vitamin D deficiency (19.5 ng/mL) The back pain is more likely related to: Vitamin D deficiency Prolonged sitting without back support Postural strain while riding a bike A 6 mm gallstone typically does not cause upper back pain unless accompanied by right upper abdominal pain, nausea, or biliary colic. Take Continue Amalaka Rasayana as advised. Yogaraja Guggulu 2 tablets twice daily after food for 6–8 weeks. Dashamoola Kwatha 15 ml with 45 ml warm water twice daily before food. Mahanarayana Taila local application followed by gentle hot fomentation once daily. Diet: Avoid fried, oily, and heavy foods due to gallstone. Include sunlight exposure 20–30 minutes daily. Maintain adequate protein intake and continue Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D supplementation.
