Psoriaz on face, need help from Ayurvedic - #9

I aM 19 yearz old. I have psoriaz on my face and I tried many treatmentz with vitaminez but nothing help. Can you suggest me some better treatment or ayurvedic medicinez for my psoriaz on my face? I really need help because itz make me feel very bad about myself. Thank you for your time and help.

Psoriasis, particularly on the face, can be challenging, but Ayurveda offers holistic solutions that address the root cause of the issue, which is typically an imbalance of Vata and Kapha doshas, combined with the accumulation of toxins (Ama) in the blood. Here’s a specific Ayurvedic approach tailored for you:

1. Dietary adjustments
To pacify Vata and Kapha, your diet needs to be warm, nourishing, and easy to digest. Focus on cooked foods like rice, lentils, and steamed vegetables. Avoid processed, fried, and fermented foods, as these can aggravate the condition. Sour and salty foods should also be minimized, as they tend to irritate the skin and increase inflammation.

2. Herbal supplements
Incorporating herbs that purify the blood and support skin health is crucial:
- Neem: Known for its blood-purifying properties, neem helps cleanse toxins from the system. You can take neem in capsule or powder form daily.
- Manjistha: This is another excellent herb for cleansing the blood and improving skin health. It can be taken as part of your regular routine, under guidance.
- Turmeric: Both internally (as a supplement or mixed in warm water) and externally, turmeric helps reduce inflammation. It’s anti-inflammatory and antiseptic, ideal for managing psoriasis.

3. Topical applications
For your face, we need to focus on soothing the skin while keeping it moisturized:
- Apply coconut oil or medicated sesame oil gently on the affected areas. These oils help to moisturize and prevent excessive dryness, which is common in psoriasis.
- You can also use a paste made from neem leaves or turmeric and apply it to the psoriatic patches. This will reduce inflammation and redness naturally.

4. Stress management
Psoriasis often flares up due to stress. Incorporating stress-reducing techniques into your daily routine is essential:
- Practice yoga and meditation daily to calm your mind and balance the doshas. Pranayama (breathing exercises) can also help, especially Anulom Vilom and Shitali pranayama, which cool and calm the system.
- Ensure you get adequate sleep and rest, as this helps repair the skin and keeps Vata and Kapha in balance.

5. Ayurvedic therapies

Psoriasis can be pretty tough to deal with, specially on the face where it’s easily visible. In Ayurveda, we often see psoriasis as a result of an imbalance in Vata and Kapha doshas. And of course, your digestive fire (Agni) plays a big role too. So, let’s think this through.

First thing, you might want to consider is your diet. Avoiding spicy, sour, and salty foods is a good start. Same goes for packaged and processed food. You want to keep things fresh and simple—like lotsa fruits, veggies, and whole grains.

Now, Turmeric could be a friend here! A paste made of turmeric and water, applied gently to affected areas, might soothe irritation. Leave it on for like 15-20 minutes. But don’t go too rough; let it just sit. Practice patience though, it doesn’t work overnight.

Neem leaves are another marvel. If you can get your hands on fresh neem leaves, boil a handful in water and cool it down. Use the water to gently rinse your face. It’s usually cooling and helps with the skin’s healing process.

Keeping the skin moisturized is also key! You could try sesame seed oil or even just good coconut oil. Apply a small amount to damp skin—that way, it seals in the moisture.

One more thing, if stress is a problem, calming the mind with meditation or simple breathing exercises could really make a difference. Psoriasis often gets worse when stress is high—never underestimate the mind-skin Connection.

If these approaches don’t show signs of improvement though, always best to connect with a local Ayurvedic practitioner. Sometimes, personalized treatment according to your unique body constitution could be the missing piece of the puzzle.
