How to cure Shortness of breath and cough forkids - #29527

My kid is 3year old, suffering from severe cough and shortness of breath it looks like wheezing.Im looking for some permanant cure for this condition. My kid is just 11kg for his age. Also I'm looking for weight gain remedy.

Hi mam, My grandmother having asthma andso I’m having eczema.I already took my kid to both allopathic doctor and ayurvedic doctor. Usually I try ayurvedic medicines for my kid if I notice any severe cough and wheezing,then I give allopathic medicines.

It can link to various conditions like asthma or respiratory infections, so it’s crucial to consult a pediatrician promptly for an accurate diagnosis and treatment. In Ayurveda, such symptoms might be considered the result of an imbalance in the Kapha and Vata doshas, potentially aggravating the respiratory system’s natural defense. Integrated approaches are known to support the respiratory health, alongside conventional treatments.

One practical Siddha-Ayurvedic remedy is to use turmeric with honey. A pinch of turmeric mixed with a teaspoon of honey can be given once a day. It’s known to reduce inflammation and protect the airways. Ensure to use pure honey and a quality turmeric. In case of ingestion precautions related to honey in children, ensure it’s safe for your child’s condition and consult a doctor if doubts.

For weight gain, focus on enhancing the digestive fire, or ‘agni.’ Include warm, well-cooked foods like rice mixed with ghee, which are easy on the stomach and help rebuild tissues. Moong dal soup is nourishing and recommended. Additionally, Chyawanprash can be beneficial. It’s a traditional herbal tonic that supports immunity and nourishment. A small daily dose enhances nutrient absorption, potentially aiding in healthy growth, but confirm its applicability with the healthcare provider first.

Remember, any treatment plan, especially for a small child, should be discussed with your healthcare provider to ensure safety and efficacy. If your child’s condition worsens or the symptoms like severe wheezing persist, do seek immediate medical attention.
