Area of specialization: | I am mostly focused on treating gut-related stuff n women's issues with Ayurveda, which kinda became my main area over time. Like for digestion, I see loads of cases of piles, chronic acidity, gas that just won’t stop, and gastritis that keeps coming back… all that. Everytime I look at those probs, I think more than the pain it’s the lifestyle breaking ppl down. And the gut, ya, that’s usually where it all starts messing up.
On the women’s side, I deal a lot with things like PCOD, hormone mess, irregular cycles, low AMH (which can get really stressful), and infertility—also menopause too. I don’t just hand over herbs and say “take this.” I get into what they eat, how they sleep, emotions even. Coz these aren’t random. They build up. And ya, for some people even mild changes in daily habits start shifting things big time.
Then there’s arthritis, joint ache, diabetes, urine infections, etc. which I also treat regularly. For all this, I mostly use classical Ayurvedic formulations but not blindly—depends what prakriti the person got, and where the doshas are stuck. Some need detox (Panchakarma), others just need gut reset + right lifestyle. It's never copy-paste you know. Each case has its own map.
And to be honest, half the healing starts when ppl just feel heard properly. |
Achievements: | am still kind of surprised sometimes that I got the Dadasaheb Phalke Award back in 2021... like wow that moment felt huge. I was also recognized as a Corona Yoddha during the pandemic phase, which felt more like a responsibility than an award tbh. Apart from clinical work, I’ve been invited on live TV shows—Zee 24 Taas & Odisha TV, talking about Ayurveda stuff, mostly digestive health. Did some researh too on gastritis, which kinda shaped how I approach gut cases now. Also yeah, won Best Doctor awards at Jiva Ayurveda, Vedicure n Ayushakti clinics, which I’m honestly proud of! |
I am practicing Ayurveda for over 22 years now—yeah it’s been a while but honestly, still feels like I’m learning every day. Most of my work revolves around two core areas I’m deeply into: gastrointestinal issues and women’s health. I kinda got drawn to digestion early on—like, gut health affects everything right? Whether it's stubborn acidity, IBS that won’t quit, or tricky liver complaints, I try to approach each case not just symptom-wise but from its roots... like checking if the agni (digestive fire) is messed up or if doshas are totally outta sync. Women’s health also holds a big space in my work. I’ve managed cases ranging from period irregularities, PCOD/PCOS to menopausal stuff that often gets brushed aside. What I try to do is not just throw herbs at the problem, but really understand the prakruti—how that woman’s built, mentally and physically. Then slowly with right ahar (diet), Panchakarma when needed, yoga suggestions and targeted herbs, we try to settle things from within. I’m not into quick fixes. Like I’ll always prefer you know why something’s wrong rather than just handing over a list of do’s and don’ts. That means I talk a lot during consults—maybe too much? but patients seem to like that. I also really push prevention. Not in a preachy way, just by explaining small things... like “hey if you skip meals everyday, this reflux is gonna keep happening.” Anyway, at the center of all this is trust—I want patients to feel heard not hurried. Whether it’s a young girl dealing with hormonal ups and downs or someone stuck in chronic bloating or fatigue, the idea is to restore balance without rushing through it. Sometimes that balance needs weeks, sometimes months... but that’s where Ayurveda really shines I feel. Healing doesn’t mean suppressing—it means changing things, gently but completely.
