Hello Gimmi
KINDLY NOTE:-
• PLAIN BRAMHI HERB and BRAMHI VATI WITH HERBOMINRAL COMBINATION ( e.g. Bramhi Vati Gold ) BOTH are DIFFERENT in ACTIONS & HAVE DIFFERENT EFFECTS
• PLAIN BRAMHI is SAFEST to take even Ulcers that U can take
But BRAMHI VATI WITH HERBOMINRAL COMBINATION NEEDS PROPER INDICATION & ADVICES by AYURVEDIC DOCTORS then only Safe
• For Depression with Ulcers BEST AND SAFE OPTIONS available in Ayurveda are as follows
• FOR DEPRESSION - Cap.Stresscom / Tab.Mentat 1 -0-1 After Food
• FOR STOMACH ULCERS - Tab.Alsarex / Tab Ulsant 1 - 0- 1 Before Food
God Bless You 😊🙏

When dealing with a stomach ulcer, it’s crucial to be cautious with what medications or supplements you introduce to your system. Brahmi, known as Bacopa monnieri, is an herb traditionally used in Ayurveda for its potential benefits in enhancing cognition and reducing stress but, it can sometimes irritate the stomach, particularly if you already have a sensitivity or condition like an ulcer.
The primary concern here is that Brahmi, while beneficial in many cases, might exacerbate irritation in the digestive tract. It’s known for increasing Pitta, which could lead to more acid production and potentially worsen an ulcer. Since everyone’s body is different, if you are considering Brahmi, it would be wise to first address the ulcer to create a more stable environment for future herbal enhancements.
Consider focusing on balancing your Pitta and fostering digestive healing, before starting Brahmi. When your stomach is sensitive, maintaining Agni (the digestive fire) without further aggravating it is paramount. You might want to adopt dietary adjustments that soothe the stomach lining, like including more mucilaginous foods such as oatmeal, aloe vera juice, or rice water. Avoid spicy, oily, and overly acidic foods which can increase stomach irritation.
Instead, you may want to improve stomach health with options such as Yashtimadhu (licorice root) which is often recommended within Ayurveda for soothing ulcers due to its demulcent and anti-inflammatory properties. Take Yashtimadhu tea or powder mixed with a pinch of turmeric and honey, this soothing preparation could be taken on an empty stomach but, do chek with a professional before using.
It could be beneficial to look into stress reduction techniques as well, since stress can be a major factor aggravating ulcers. Practices like yoga, pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation can be very helpful to reduce this kind of internal stress without adding potentially irritating substances.
To sum it up, your initial aim should be stabilizing the ulcer condition. Once it’s managed, integrating Brahmi might be considered under professional guidance, but not before ensuring that your stomach is no longer under distress. As always, any new supplement or therapy should be run by your primary healthcare provider, ensuring it doesn’t interfere with any current treatments you’re undergoing.
