In Ayurveda, ghee is considered a nourishing food that helps improve strength and body weight. You can take buffalo ghee, but it should be in a small quantity, especially because you have high blood pressure. Buffalo ghee is heavier and contains more fat compared to cow ghee, so taking too much may not be good for heart health at your age. You may start with about 1 teaspoon of ghee daily with food. If possible, cow ghee is usually considered lighter and easier to digest than buffalo ghee. For healthy weight gain, do not depend only on ghee. You should also include nutritious foods like: milk or buttermilk soaked almonds moong dal or paneer khichdi with a little ghee seasonal fruits Also try to maintain good digestion, regular meals, and light walking, as digestion becomes slower with age.
