Hey dr hope ur doing well i am stressed i cant gain my weight am 20 and my eeight is stuckked in 44 my health everything is perfect they said no issue in gaining weight but i have a fast metabolism which cause me not gain weight would u please help me

At 20 years old, being underweight with a “fast metabolism” in Ayurveda is commonly linked with Vata predominance, weak tissue nourishment (Dhatu kshaya) and improper digestion/absorption despite eating well. Stress and irregular eating further increase Vata, causing poor weight gain. Ayurvedic Approach for Healthy Weight Gain 1. Improve Digestion & Absorption First If food is not getting absorbed properly, weight will not increase. Hingvashtak Churna – ½ tsp with first bite of lunch and dinner If bloating/acidity is present: Avipattikar Churna – 1 tsp at night with lukewarm water This helps improve Agni (digestive fire) and nutrient absorption. 2. Medicines for Weight Gain & Strength Ashwagandha Churna – 1 tsp with warm milk at night Shatavari Kalpa – 1–2 tsp with milk in morning Chyawanprash – 1 tsp twice daily If weakness/stress is significant: Ashwagandharishta – 15 ml + equal water after lunch and dinner These help improve: muscle nourishment stamina appetite sleep healthy weight gain 3. Diet for Weight Gain Eat 5–6 small meals daily Because you feel full quickly, avoid very large meals. Include: Milk with ghee Banana shake Dates, figs, black raisins Soaked almonds and peanuts Khichdi with ghee Paneer, curd, moong dal Rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes Homemade laddoo with dry fruits/gond Best timing Heavy breakfast Nutritious evening snack Milk before sleep 4. Lifestyle Sleep 7–8 hours daily Avoid skipping meals Reduce stress and overthinking Start light strength training 3–4 days/week (push-ups, squats, resistance exercises) Too much cardio can further reduce weight. 5. Important Tests to Rule Out Causes If weight is not improving, get: Thyroid profile (TSH) CBC Vitamin D & B12 Stool test if digestion issues are severe Healthy weight gain in Ayurveda is gradual. With proper digestion, nourishment and stress control, improvement usually starts within 2–3 months.

Here is a complete schedule for you to help you in your weight gain journey. Breakfast 8-9.30 am Upma, Poha, Idli, Dosa, Moong Dal Chilla, Vegetable Paratha (Potato paratha once in a while) with a cup of buffalo milk Mid Snack 11-11.30 am 1 fruit which ever you like Lunch 12.30-1.30pm A bowl of Dal A bowl of vegetable Roti Rice 2 tsp of ghee Hi Tea 4 -4.30pm 1 cup of milk with any breakfast item you like. You can have a fruit as well but than avoid milk. Dinner 7.30-8.30 pm 1 bowl of dal 1 bowl of vegetable Roti Rice 2 tsp of ghee ?Things to Avoid? Processed food Oily food Ready to eat food Maida Desserts ??Must do?? Exercise is must Have a fruit after exercise best prefered banana You can replace fruits with boiled eggs Twice a week swimming or running Weight training if possible Surya namaskar daily atleast 10. Start from whatever is possible. Exercise will increase your hunger and you will notice your appetite increasing. ??Medication?? Syp. Drakshasav 3 tsp twice a day before food Tab. Liv 52 DS 1 tab twice a day before food Tab. Ampachak Vati 2 tabs twice a day before food. Full body massage with lukewarm sesame seed oil followed by exercise. Take Tab. Bandy Plus (deworming medication) 1 tab at night before you start your medication. Remember you will not see effect in one or two days but you will notice changes within 15 days. Hello, For weight gain ayurvedic approach These symptoms tell us that your body is to properly converting the food you eat into nourishment. In modern terms, that means poor absorption or metabolic imbalance In ayurvedic language it means 'agnimandya" (weak digestive fire) leading to dhatu kshaya (depletion of body tissue) According to ayurveda, your body is made up of seven main tissues- plasma (rasa), blood (rakta), muscle (mamsa), fat (meda), bone (asthi), marrow (majja),and reproductive tissue (shukra) Food is first digested and then transformed step by step into each of these tissues. If digestion is weak or disturbed by excessive vata and pitta, the nourishment chain breaks.
