●Manjistha (Rubia cordifolia) is considered an excellent blood purifier in Ayurveda. It is said to be useful in skin disorders because it helps balance the accumulated doshas in the body. According to modern science, it contains: • Anthraquinones Purpurin • Rubiadin which have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. ●Effects of Red Sandalwood Rakta Chandan In Ayurveda, red sandalwood is considered a skin-cooling and soothing remedy. It can help reduce redness and excessive heat. Scientifically, it contains natural anti-inflammatory compounds. ●Rose Water’s Function Rose water not only fragrances the skin, but also • Balances the skin’s pH • Provides a mild antibacterial effect • Provides hydration, leaving the skin feeling calmer and more balanced. ●Method of making the paste: Mix 1 teaspoon of Manjistha powder, 1/2 teaspoon of Raktachandan powder, and rose water as needed. Apply the paste to your face for 10-15 minutes. Then rinse with plain water.

—Since you’ve had hyperpigmentation for many years along with dry skin, frizzy hair, acne, and high stress, Ayurveda would view this as an imbalance mainly of Vata and Pitta. The focus should be on calming stress, improving digestion, nourishing the body, and cooling the skin. —Internal Medicines Arogyavardhini Vati – 1 tab BD after food with warm water. Manjisthadi Kwath – 15 ml with equal water BD before food. Brahmi Vati – 1 tab HS with warm water (for stress). Amalaki Rasayana – 1 tsp OD morning. ----External Application Kumkumadi Tailam – apply 3–4 drops on face at night. Face pack: Sandalwood + Licorice (Mulethi) powder with rose water, 3×/week. —Diet Advice (Pathya) Take ghee, soaked almonds, pomegranate, coconut, mung dal, rice. Drink coriander + fennel seed water daily. Eat warm, freshly cooked meals. —Avoid (Apathya) Spicy, fried, junk foods Excess coffee/tea Late nights, stress —Lifestyle Abhyanga (sesame/coconut oil massage) 3–4× weekly. Pranayama / meditation 10–15 min daily. Adequate sleep. —Follow-up: 4 weeks.

Thanks so much for clarifying this! I had no idea mixing meds could be risky. I'll stick to my doctor's meds and look into Ayurveda separately.
