If hair fall is severe, sudden, patchy, or associated with irregular periods, thyroid issues, anemia, or dandruff/itching, then detailed evaluation is important for proper treatment.

External Therapies (Bahiya Chikitsa) ​Shiro Abhyanga (Therapeutic Scalp Massage): •​What to use: Classic formulations like ••Bhringamalakadi Taila, Neelibhringadi Taila, or Brahmirasayan Taila. •​How to apply: Warm the oil slightly. Apply it using your fingertips specifically to the receding hairline and vertex. Use gentle, circular motions without harsh friction, as aggressive rubbing can detach weak follicles. •​Why: This stimulates Prana Vayu and local blood circulation (Rakta Kshethan), bringing essential nutrients back to the dormant follicles at the hairline. •​Lepanam (Herbal Scalp Packs): ••​Apply a paste of Amalaki (Indian Gooseberry), Bhringraj, and Methi (Fenugreek) powder mixed with water or sour buttermilk (Takra) to the frontal scalp twice a week.
