Heart palpitations that you’re describing, having a normal rate but feeling them prominently, can be uncomfortable. From an Ayurvedic perspective, we first consider possible dosha imbalances, particularly the Vata dosha, as it governs movement in the body, including the heartbeat.

Given you’re already incorporating ashwagandha and medha vati, which are supportive for calming Vata and balancing the mind, there are a few additional steps you might consider. Your current routine sounds beneficial but refining a few elements might further help.

First, ensure your intake of ashwagandha is aligned with your constitution. Sometimes, herbs can show optimal effects when paired with an appropriate medium or anupana. For instance, ashwagandha can be taken with warm milk for better Vata pacification, if you tolerate dairy well.

Diet is another aspect. Focus on warm, nourishing foods that are easy to digest, reducing raw and cold meals that may aggravate Vata. Include foods such as warm soups, stews, and cooked grains.

Continue with your morning walks and pranayama, as both are great for grounding Vata. Specifically, you might enhance your pranayama practice by focusing more on calming techniques like Nadi Shodhana (Alternate nostril breathing) and Bhramari (Bee breath), taking it slow and gentle.

Another Ayurvedic favorite for calming and supporting heart health is Arjuna powder. This can be consumed in small amounts with warm water or added to milk, particularly before bed can be beneficial, but start with a smaller dose to observe how you feel.

Finally, focus on consistent sleep patterns. Try to make sure you’re sleeping by 10 PM and creating a calming routine before bed.

As always, if symptoms persist or worsen, it’s important to consult with a healthcare provider to rule out any underlying conditions that might need conventional medical care.
