Firstly want to know your bp readings? Arjuna is good for health but if u hv low bp just avoid it. Arjuna is commonly used for heart health, but it can lower blood pressure slightly. Since your BP is already low—even though you have no symptoms—taking Arjuna may further reduce BP and could cause dizziness or weakness later. For low BP without symptoms, no medicine is usually needed

Namaste That’s a great question! It’s important to get good advice before taking any heart tonic if you have low BP. So, let me explain this clearly and safely 😊 AYURVEDIC UNDERSTANDING In Ayurveda, low BP is usually linked to: Too much Vata Not enough Ojas Weakened tissues The fact that you’re not experiencing dizziness, weakness, or fainting is a good sign. CAN YOU TAKE ARJUNA TABLET WITH LOW BP? Yes, you can – but you need to take the right amount and use it the right way. 👉 Arjun (Terminalia Arjuna) strengthens the heart. 👉 It feeds the heart muscles. 👉 It doesn’t force BP down; instead, it balances it. So, Arjun is safe even with low BP if you take it correctly. How to Take Arjuna Tablet Properly Amount: 1 tablet once a day Don’t start by taking it twice a day. When: After breakfast Never on an empty stomach With: Warm water Or milk (if you digest dairy well) Things to Keep in Mind ❌ Stop taking it if you feel dizzy, very weak, sweaty, or have blurred vision. ❌ Keep checking your BP regularly. ❌ Don’t increase the amount yourself. Extra Tips for Low BP + Heart Health Diet: ✔ A balanced amount of salt ✔ Dates, raisins, pomegranate ✔ Warm milk ✔ A small amount of desi ghee (clarified butter) Lifestyle: ✔ Don’t stand up suddenly. ✔ Don’t stay hungry for too long. ✔ Get enough sleep. Tests (if you haven’t had them yet): Hb (Hemoglobin) ECG Electrolytes ✔ Arjuna Tablet is safe for low BP. ✔ Taking it in the right amount and at the right time. ✔ Gives strength and protection to the heart. Warm Regards Dr. Snehal Vidhate

Arjuna tablets are traditionally used in Ayurveda for heart health, but since you have chronic low blood pressure (hypotension), caution is essential. ⚠️ Risks for Low BP Patients - Possible further drop in BP: Since Arjuna can reduce blood pressure, it may cause dizziness, fatigue, or fainting in hypotensive individuals. - No symptoms now, but risk remains: Even if you don’t feel weak, your baseline BP is already low, so adding Arjuna without monitoring could be unsafe. - Interactions: If combined with other heart or BP medications, effects may amplify. ✅ Safe Usage Guidelines (General Ayurvedic Practice) - Form: Tablets or caplets (commonly 250–700 mg). - Typical dosage: 1–2 tablets twice daily after meals, with lukewarm water or milk. - Duration: Often prescribed for several weeks to months for heart support. - Best practice: Start with the lowest dose and monitor BP daily. 🔑 Key Recommendations for You: - If your goal is heart health, safer alternatives may include dietary measures (nuts, seeds, garlic, omega-3 foods), gentle yoga, and breathing practices. Warm Regards DR. ANJALI SEHRAWAT

HELLO, Blood pressure means the force with which blood flows inside the blood vessels When this pressure is lower than normal, it is called low blood pressure (hypotension) In your case -Bp is low for more than 6 months -there are no symptoms like dizziness, fainting, weakness -this is called chronic asymptomatic hypotension This means your body has adapted to the lower pressure, but long term care is needed to -support heart system -maintain good circulation -prevent future problem Ayurveda does not name Bp directly but explains it through body energies and tissues MAIN CAUSES IN AYURVEDA VATA DOSHA INCREASE -vata controls movement and ciruclaiton -when vata is weak or imbalance, blood flow becomes less forceful RASA DHATU KSHAYA -RASA= plasma/ nutrition -Leads to reduced blood volume or nourishment HRIDAYA BAALA KAMYATA -reduced functional strength of the heart not disease, but weaknesss WHY YOU DON’T HAVE SYMPTOMS -good Ojas (body immuity and adaptation) -strong nervous system compensation But without care, vata imbalance may increase with age or stress TREATMENT GOALS -strengthen the heart -improve circulation naturally -balance vata dosha -nourish rasa dhatu -maintain stable Bp and prevent complications INTERNAL MEDICATIONS 1) ARJUNA TABLETS= 500mg once daily only after food with warm milk for 3 months =best heart tonic in ayurveda, improves heart muscle strength, enhances pumpkin efficiency without forcing Bp, safe in low Bp when used properly SUPPORTIVE INTERNAL MEDICATIONS 1) ASHWAGANDHA CAPSULE= 250mg cap twice daily after meals =Balances Vata, improves strength, stamina, supports heart and nervous system 2) RAISINS -8-10 raisins soaked overnight, taken in morning =improves plasma volume and nourishment EXTERNAL THERAP 1)OIL MASSAGE= warm sesame oil -full body massage 3-4 times/eweek -especially head, feet, cchest =Reduces Vata, improvs circulation, stabilizes Bp naturally DIET -warm,freshly cooked meals -rice, wheat, oats -milk, ghee, butter -dates, raisins, figs -pomegranate, apple -vegetable cooked with ghee -adeuqate salt do not restrict unnecessarily AVOID -excess fasting -very dry foods -excess raw salads -excess tea, coffee -cold drinks -skipping meals LIFESTYLE ADVICES -wake up slowly from bed do not stand suddenly -avoid long gaps between meals -proper sleep 7-8 hours -avoid excessive stress and overwork -gentle exercise, not overexertion YOGA ASANAS -tadasana -vajrasana -bhujangasana -setu bandhasana PRANAYAM -Anulom vilom= 10 min daily -Bhramari= 5-7 rounds HOME REMEDIES -warm milk with 2-3 dates at night -soaked raisins in morning -ginger tea occasional for circulaiton -adeuqte hydration with warm water SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL CARE If patient develops -dizziness -fainting -palpitations -severe fatigue -chest discomfort Your low blood pressure is stable and not dangerous at present. Ayurveda focuses on strengthening your heart and circulation naturally rather than forcing Bp up. Arjuna, when taken correctly is safe, protective and beneficial for long term heart health With proper diet, lifestyle and mild support, you can maintain good health without complications DO FOLLOW HOPE THIS MIGHT BE HELPFUL THANK YOU DR. Yes , you can safely use Arjuna tablets for heart health. It is cardio-protective, strengthens heart muscle, improves circulation and is mildly hypotensive , but in most low BP patients, it does not cause significant further drop when used in standard doses (especially if asymptomatic). Recommended dose: 1 tablet (500 mg) twice daily after meals (morning + evening) with warm water. Start with ½ tablet twice daily for 5–7 days and monitor BP daily (morning & evening). If BP remains stable (no dizziness/headache) then continue full dose. Duration: 3–6 months continuous , then reassess with BP monitoring & lipid profile. Take after food (never empty stomach) to avoid mild acidity. Precautions Monitor BP twice daily for first 2 weeks, if it drops below 90/60 or you feel dizzy then reduce dose or stop & consult doctor. Do not combine with strong BP lowering herbs (e.g., Sarpagandha) without guidance. Continue any existing BP meds (if any) unchanged. Additional Tips for Low BP Increase salt slightly (if no swelling/heart failure) Drink 2.5–3 L water daily Add coconut water or pomegranate juice Avoid sudden standing; rise slowly Gentle walk 20–30 min daily Regards Dr Gursimran Jeet Singh MD Panchakarma
