Namaste, BP 170/90 despite medicines is a high-risk situation and needs careful attention. Simple understanding: This is called resistant hypertension, where BP remains high even on multiple medicines. It may be due to underlying causes (kidney, hormones, stress, sleep issues) or need for dose adjustment. Important step: Please consult your physician/cardiologist soon for reassessment. Do not stop or change medicines on your own. Simple measures that may help: Continue low-salt diet strictly. Avoid processed foods, pickles, excess tea/coffee. Do daily walking (30 minutes). Practice slow breathing / pranayama. Maintain healthy weight. Ensure proper sleep, as poor sleep increases BP. Reduce stress and anxiety. Check BP regularly (same time daily) and keep a record. Ayurvedic medicines that may support BP control include: Sarpagandha Vati – 1 tablet, at night after dinner Arjunarishta – 15–20 ml with equal water, after lunch and dinner These can help support BP control, but should be taken along with medical supervision. This condition needs combined and monitored approach, not self-treatment. Consult me for more advice and suggestions on the above medicines.
