Namaste, BP 170/90 despite medicines is a high-risk situation and needs careful attention. Simple understanding: This is called resistant hypertension, where BP remains high even on multiple medicines. It may be due to underlying causes (kidney, hormones, stress, sleep issues) or need for dose adjustment. Important step: Please consult your physician/cardiologist soon for reassessment. Do not stop or change medicines on your own. Simple measures that may help: Continue low-salt diet strictly. Avoid processed foods, pickles, excess tea/coffee. Do daily walking (30 minutes). Practice slow breathing / pranayama. Maintain healthy weight. Ensure proper sleep, as poor sleep increases BP. Reduce stress and anxiety. Check BP regularly (same time daily) and keep a record. Ayurvedic medicines that may support BP control include: Sarpagandha Vati – 1 tablet, at night after dinner Arjunarishta – 15–20 ml with equal water, after lunch and dinner These can help support BP control, but should be taken along with medical supervision. This condition needs combined and monitored approach, not self-treatment. Consult me for more advice and suggestions on the above medicines.

Hello, For persistent high Bp around 170/90 despite medication , this is not mild- it needs parallel medical supervision + Ayurvedic support, not replacement. In Ayurveda, this correlates with aggravated vata + pitta + rakta dushti Ayurvedic view -vata= irregular pressure, vascular sitffness -pitta= intensity, irritability, high force -rakta dushti= impure blood circulation Internally 1) Sarpagandha vati= 1 tab at night =strong bP REDUCER 2) Arjuna capsule= 1 cap twice daily after meals =heart tonic, improves vessel elasticity 3) Shankhapushpi syrup= 1 tsp twice daily after meals =reduces stress driven Bp 4) Jatamansi capsule= 1 cap at bedtime =calming, helps resistant hypertension Diet youre already at low salt- good. Refine further -warm, light, slightly oily foods controls vata -garlic, coriander, cumin -fruits= pomegranate, banana -cow ghee small quantity daily Avoid strictly -tea,coffee excess -sour + spicy + fried foods increase pitta -packaged/reheated meals -red meat, alcohol Lifestyle -this is critical in resistant Bp -sleep by 10-10:30 pm -daily 30 min walk not intesne gym -avoid anger, overthinking, scrren overload Pranayam (most effective) -anulom vilom =10-15 min -bhramari= 7 rounds -chandra bhedana= for high Bp calming Avoid kapalbhati/bhastrika as it can rise Bp Bp=170/90= high risk zone do NOT stop allopathy suddenly Aurveda works gradually alingside, then taper under doctor guidance Do follow Hope this might be helpful Thank you
